A By -Law for the Transfer of Assets
to the Municipal Services Corporation
Whereas on January 1, 2020, The Township of Oro-Medonte incorporated a Municipal
Services Corporation under the authority of Subsection 203(1) of the Municipal Act,
2001 S.O. 2001, c.25 which authorizes the Township to establish corporations.
And Whereas on January 1, 2020, The Township of Oro-Medonte incorporated a
Municipal Services Corporation under the authority of Clause 3(a) of Ontario Regulation
599/06.
And Whereas on August 18, 2021, The Township of Oro-Medonte Council passed
Resolution No. C210817/18-21 to endorse an Asset Transfer Policy for the Municipal
Services Corporation.
And Whereas on January 25, 2023, The Township of Oro-Medonte Council passed
Resolution No. C230125-10 to receive the Asset Transfer Schedule, as regulated by
PSAB Section 3430, to enable transfer of the assets from the Corporation of the
Township of Oro-Medonte to the Municipal Services Corporation, effective January 31,
2023.
Now Therefore the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte hereby
enacts as follows:
1. That effective January 31, 2023, the assets listed in Schedule 1, as attached, be
transferred from the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte to the Municipal
Services Corporation.
2. And That this by-law shall come into force and take effect on the final passing
thereof.
