Carried. MOTION NO.2 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the Confidential correspondence from Aird Berlis, re: Township of Oro vs 576487 ontario Limited and BAFMA Incorporated, be received, and further, the Corporation of the Township of Oro directs the Administrator/Clerk to advise the firm of Aird and Berlis that it agrees with the recommendations in this Confidential Correspondence dated January 24th, 1991, and further, the firm of Aird and Berlis are to proceed to file a of Appeal immediately as well as to file an application with the ontario Municipal Board. Carried. MOTION NO.3 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Report prepared by Henry Sander, Treasurer, re: Tax Information over the Phone, be received and recommendations contained in this report be adopted. carried. MOTION NO.4 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the correspondence from C.C. Tatham and Associates re: Terms of Reference South Central ontario Study, be received, and further, the Administrator/Clerk co-ordinate the information required for this study. Carried. MOTION NO.5 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Memo from Patricia Vincent, Secretary/Treasurer Committee of Adjustment re: Committee of Adjustment ontario Association of Committees of Adjustment Membership, be received, and further, membership be taken out in above noted organization. Carried. MOTION NO.6 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Report from Kris Menzies, Township Planner, with regards to Spencer Lot Addition, Committee of Adjustment Application B41-/90, be received. Carried. - 4 - MOTION NO.7 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Minutes of the Oro Community Centres Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting held on Thursday, January 1991, be received and adopted. Carried. MOTION NO.8 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that Merv Walt, the Administrator/Clerk, Councillor David Burton, the Treasurer, Fire Chief, and Chief Building Official meet as soon as possible to set up the mechanics the Oro District Lions Club contribution to the Community Halls, further that this be included in the 1991 Budget as both an and revenue item. Carried. MOTION NO.9 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Simcoeside Ratepayers Association be a letter indicating that the Township would fund them 50% up to a total of $5000. ($2500. commitment by the Township). The Association be given a year in which to raise the money and plan facilities for the park. The Township portion to be put into a reserve for this purpose in the 1991 Budget. Carried. MOTION NO. 10 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that up to two (2) people be allowed to attend Ontario Parks Association Seminar, March 6th to March 8th, 1991. Carried. MOTION NO. 11 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that we do not change the light bulbs at the Sportsfield Diamond until such time as there is an indication that the bulbs need replacing, and further, if and when they do replacement, that the bulbs be replaced all at the same time. Carried. MOTION NO. 12 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the correspondence from the Ministry of Citizenship with regards to the 1991 Ontario Senior Achievement Awards Program, be received and referred to the Oro History Committee, and further, they be requested to submit at least three names for consideration by Council for this award. Carried. - 5 - MOTION NO. 13 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that correspondence be sent to Sandra Shelswell asking whether or not she would be interested in serving on the Township of Oro's History Committee. Carried. MOTION NO. 14 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Budget submission of $2,000. from the History Committee as outlined in their minutes of their meeting dated November 13, 1990, be placed in the 1991 Township of Oro Budget for consideration. Carried. MOTION NO. 15 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the correspondence from Chris Gunnell, President of Oro Minor Baseball League, be received, and further, their request to use the Administration Building Lobby on March 23, April 6 and April 13, be considered, and further, the lobby and the Community Centre be offered as an alternative, free of charge. Carried. MOTION NO. 16 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the Report from Treasurer, Henry Sander, regards to Tax Arrears, be received and his recommendations Carried. MOTION NO. 17 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Report from Henry Sander, Treasurer, regards to the Development Charge Act, be received and his recommendations adopted. Carried. MOTION NO. 18 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Report from Henry Sander, Treasurer, regards to Coverage for Volunteer Firefighters, be received and recommendation adopted. Carried. MOTION NO. 19 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the correspondence from McKinney and Associates re: Township of Oro's Long Term Disability Benefit, be received, and further, the Township Treasurer be authorized to instruct McKinney and Associates to institute the Long Term Disability Benefit as a Taxable Benefit. MOTION NO. 22 Moved by Burton, seconded by Drury It is recommended that Confidential Correspondence from R.G. Robinson and Associates Limited re: Township of Oro, MSL (Oro) Subdivision, be received, and further, proceed to a Public Meeting. Carried. MOTION NO. 23 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the Natural Area Study be received, and further, this proposed Official Plan Amendment be scheduled for a Public Meeting under the Planning Act at the earliest possible date Carried. MOTION NO. 24 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the report from Kris Menzies, Township Planner, with regards to the Conversion Process, be received and adopted. Carried. - 7 - MOTION NO. 25 Moved by Drury, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that Ron Watkin address the issue of Strip Development in the Natural Area on the south side of the Ridge Road as well as lot additions in the Natural Area, and further, a severance policy be reviewed by March 1, 1991. Carried. MOTION NO. 26 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the correspondence concerning the Shanty Bay Auto Wreckers (The Frame Shop) site Plan and Agreement, be received and further, be reviewed and report to Council to determine the current zoning and that the agreement and attached site Plan are being complied with and are permitted in our Official Plan. Carried. MOTION NO. 27 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the Confidential Correspondence from Bruce Donnelly, re: John N. Johnson Construction Limited, application Draft Plan Approval, Rezoning and O.P. Amendment, Part of the West Half of Lot 22, Concession 12, Village of Hawkestone, be received, and further, the Corporation of the Township of Oro direct the Administrator/Clerk to advise Mr. Donnelly of the following: That he will be permitted to read the document at the Township Office in the presence of a staff member, however, the other conditions of our December 3, 1990, letter still apply. Carried. MOTION NO. 28 Moved by Drury, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Public Services Administrator report to Council on the report of the sixth Line Closing, re: Public and the comments reviewed by the Public re: Lloyd Squires and Hughes concerns with the level of service expedited after the closing. Carried. MOTION NO. 29 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the Confidential Correspondence from Solicitor, Paul M. Feldman, be received, and further, the Administrator/Clerk direct the Township Solicitor from Aird and Berlis to proceed to negotiate a favourable settlement subject to Councils approval with regards to the Building Code Violations, prior to February 13, 1991, Court Date. Carried. - 8 - MOTION NO. 30 Moved by Drury, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Administrator/Clerk contact Herman Van Wesenbeesk who is a Land Use Specialist with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, in order to obtain the Agricultural capabilities of certain lands within the Township of Oro. Carried. MOTION NO. 31 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the Council of the following surrounding Townships be invited to a meeting to be held on: February 6th, 1991 February 7th, 1991 February 7th, 1991 February 7th, 1991 Township of Medonte Township of Orillia Township of Flos Township of Vespra and further, only the Clerk, and/or Administrator Clerks be invited to attend with their councils for the purpose of taking notes: and further, the purpose of this meeting will be to discuss boundaries to be submitted to the Simcoe County Study Committee.
