MOTION NO.6 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the correspondence from Andrew Crawford, Chairman of the Oro District Lions Club, re: Operating a Beer Tent at the Barrie Automotive Flea Market on June 6, 7, 8, and 9, 1991, be received, and further, the Administrator/Clerk advise the Oro District Lions Club that the Corporation of the Township of Oro has no objection to the Lions Club operating this Beer Tent on the abov noted dates. Carried. - 4 - MOTION NO.7 Moved by Crawford, seconded by Burton It is recommended that Kris Menzies, Township Planner, on the recommendation of the Administrator/Clerk, Robert W. Small, has successfully completed her probationary period as of March 10, 1991 and is now entitled to full Township Benefits. Carried. MOTION NO.8 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the correspondence from the City of Barrie with regards to the Agreement between the Corporation of the Township of Oro and the Corporation of the City of Barrie with regards to the City of Barrie providing Fire Dispatch Services, be received, and further, the Administrator/Clerk prepare the appropriate By-Law for the next Regular Meeting of Council. Carried. MOTION NO.9 Moved by Burton, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the Confidential Correspondence from Joseph Feldman, Solicitor, with the firm of Torkin, Manes, Cohen and Arbus with regards to Horseshoe Resort Corporation, Lot 144, Plan 51M-456 be received, and further, the Administrator/Clerk is to advise Mr. Feldman that the municipality would consider Lot 143 in exchange of lot 144, if the Horseshoe Resort Corporation complied to its prior commitment of furnishing the municipality with its outstanding lot levies and Business Taxes as previously agreed to, and further, Horseshoe Resort Corporation pay all costs involved. MOTION NO. 11 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the memo from Fred Haughton, Public Services Administrator, with regards to a Testing Workshop, sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment, be received, and further, Fred MacGregor and Fred Haughton be allowed to attend this workshop on Wednesday, May 29, 1991. MOTION NO. 14 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the correspondence from the Simcoe County District Health Unit with regards to Private Sub-Surface Sewage Disposal (Septic Tank Systems, Holding Tanks - Hauled Sewage) be received, and further, the Township of Oro has a Privately approved site. Further, that Bill Straughan be invited to a future Committee of th Whole Meeting to discuss further. carried. MOTION NO. 15 Moved by Crawford, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the correspondence from E. Marshall Green, Solicitor with the firm of Graham, Wilson and Green, with regards t Muskoka Homes (Darcon) and the Township of Oro, be received, and further, Mr. Watkin prepare a Draft Response for a review by Council, and further, Mr. Watkin reply by April 16, 1991. MOTION NO. 16 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the memo from Robert James, Animal Control/By-Law Enforcement Officer, re: Noise By-Law Course, be received, and further, the Administrator/Clerk be instructed to write the Ministry of the Environment stating Council's displeasure with not being able to fulfil our By-Law Enforcement Officer's Job Profile. MOTION NO. 25 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the Township Planner investigate the possibility of having Official Plan and Zoning Signs prepared for sites that are going to Public Meetings, how this is done in other municipalities and the cost of having reusable signs. This request is to be in Council's hands by May 1, 1991. Carried.
