Reeve Robert E. Drury chaired the meeting. 1. DISCLOSURE AND DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST: None declared. 2. DEPUTATIONS: a) 10:20 a.m. Mr. Leo Longo, Township Solicitor; Mr. Fred Haughton, Public Services Administrator, Ms. Pat Harwood, Parks and Recreation Supervisor and Treasurer Henry Sander were present to discuss the various options concerning the 9th Line Boat Launc Facility and adjacent Parking requirements b) 1:00 p.m. Township Solicitor Leo Longo, Township Planner, Kris Menzies, Township Planning Consultant, Mr. R.B. Watkin and the following representatives from Medonte Township Council; Mr. Horace Vasey, Mrs. Jill Patterson, Mr. Cam Hall and Clerk/Treasurer Gary cunnington were present to review the Oro/Medonte joint Draft Response to the Simcoe County study Committee Draft Report for public consultation. Note: There were no other items or correspondence considered at this meeting. MOTION NO.1 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that section 21 (d) of By-Law No. 89-36, the Township's Procedural By-Law, be waived for this Special Committee of the Whole Meeting of Council. Carried. .. " - 2 - MOTION NO.2 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that: 1) our solicitor advise of the process to be followed to: i establish temporary detour and permanent closing of traffic on the 9th Line at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive; ii establish a new connecting road link between Parks ide and Lakeshore Drives, East of Lot 43, Plan 863; and, iii establish controlled access to the 9th Line Boat Launch Facility at a point south of the projected southern boundary of Parks ide Drive. AND FURTHER, advise that: 2) a Public Meeting be convened, as may be required, to pursue th matters referred to above and advise the public of certain design details related to the Boat Launch Facilities and operations. Carried MOTION NO.3 Moved by Crawford, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the Public Services Administrator purchase and install signage, designating hours and Season of Operation, clear area and preferred parking arrangements. Carried MOTION NO.4 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that Fred Haughton, Public Services Administrator be authorized to complete the following projects associated with th Boat Launching Facilities: a) 2nd Line - Design and soil erosion protection, estimated @ $4,000.00; 9th Line - Ditch stabilization, ramp and parking area paving, estimated @ $40,000; 14th Line - Pipe installation and placing of Granulars, estimated @ $8,500.00.
