Castellan and Mr. steve Wilkinson appeared before the Committee with regard to complaints they had related to the ditches along Cedarbrook Crescent and the water supply in Hawkestone. They provided the Committee of the Whole members with pictures illustrating the marsh like growth in the ditches. 7:50 p.m. Tamela Purdy spoke to the Committee with regard to having a co-operative Nursery program in the upstairs room at the Arena or the Old Town Hall and a reduced rental fee. She indicated that they would like to operate for two mornings per week and that they needed to be in space properly zoned for this purpose. Sanderson re: Garbage Collection Fees for seasonal residents be acknowledged and that the Treasurer correspond with Mr. Sanderson explaining that th fees cannot be reduced and providing the rationale for the above noted fees. Carried MOTION NO.5 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Oro District Lions Club be advised that the Township has no objection to their operation of beer tents at the Fall Automotive Flea Market. Carried MOTION NO.6 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the Report of Live stock Valuer Ernest Bidwell be received with regard to a sheep killed by wolves which was owned by Glenn Bidwell having a value of $150.00 and that the Treasurer be authorized to send a cheque in that amount to Mr. Glen Bidwell. That this item be considered during the 1992 budget deliberations. Mr. Sanderson is also to be provided with a copy of Kelly Yerxa's letter dated February 14, 1991. Carried MOTION NO. 16 Moved by Crawford, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that Whereas Council has considered and has determined that no further public meeting or notice is required regarding hazard land zoning contained in a proposed zoning by-law amendment for Simoro Golf Links, Lot 19 and 20, Concession 1, Development Application #P14/88, pursuant to section 34(16) of the Planning Act, no further public meeting will be called prior to the consideration of a zoning by-law on the above referenced lands. Beamish to supply and apply materials for hot mix asphaltic concrete on the 9th Line Boat Ramp Approach and Parking Facilities at the following unit price of 521 Tonnes HL4 at $22,647.87 + Taxes = $25,581.10 be accepted, subject to the approval of the Public Services Administrator.
