Reeve Robert E. Drury chaired the meeting.
Reeve Robert E. Drury opened the meeting by explaining to those
present that this Public Meeting was to receive public comments wit
respect to a proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment, pursuant to
provisions of the Planning Act, 1983 section 34 (12). The applican
has applied to rezone certain lands described as Part of Lot 7,
Concession 2, Reference Plan 51R-22317, Part 2, (Hickling).
To date, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro have
not made a decision on this application, other than proceeding to
this Public Meeting. Only after comments are received from the
Public, requested agencies and Township Staff, within the
appropriate time period, will Council make a decision on this
application.
Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed out on October 15, 1991, to
all property owners within 400 feet of the subject lands.
Reeve Robert E. Drury then asked the Clerk if there had been any
correspondence received on this matter. The Clerk responded by
indicating that comments had been received from the Simcoe District
Health Unit, and were not opposed and the Nottawasaga Valley
Conservation Authority, advising they were not opposed as per their
original comments which were subject to condition No.9 of consent
application B11/91 with regards to development in association with
the wetlands.
The Reeve then stated that those persons present would be afforded
the opportunity of asking questions with respect to the proposed
Amendment. He then turned the meeting over to the Township Planner
Ms. Kris Menzies, to explain the purpose and effect of the proposed
Zoning By-Law Amendment.
Kris Menzies:
The purpose of the Public Meeting is to
afford Council the opportunity to hear
comments from the Public prior to making
their decision on the rezoning. This
Public Meeting is to consider a rezoning
from the Agricultural zone to the Rural
Residential zone as a condition of consent

Kris Menzies:
The property is location in Part of Lot 7,
Concession 2. The comments received by th
Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority
especially in reference to a site Plan
being submitted were basically identical
comments that were considered by the
Committee of Adjustment, prior to granting
the conditional severance. The condition
that the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation
Authority has requested on this rezoning i
also included as a condition of the
Committee of Adjustment. The lot will not
come into force and effect until such time
as the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation
Authority is satisfied that the applicant
has provided a site Plan to their
satisfaction. The proposed rezoning is
permitted in the Official Plan and is
designed in such a means in which to adher
to the zoning that is being requested.
There being no questions or comments, the Reeve in closing the
meeting, thanked those in attendance for their participation and
advised that Council would consider all matters before reaching a
decision. He then advised those present that if they wished to be
notified of the passing of the proposed By-law, they should leave
their name and address with the Clerk.
