Drury Deputy Reeve David Caldwell staff Present: Ms. Kris Menzies, Mr. Henry Sander Also Present Were: Mr. Richard Connolly, Ms. Jane Blackstock, Mr. Hugh Blackstock, Ms. Gail Mandley, Ms. Brenda Edwards, Ms. Ruth Cartier, Ms. Ann Twyens, Mr. Aa VanVeld, Ms. Shirley Woodrow and Mr. Gord Dixon Councillor Alastair Crawford chaired the meeting. Councillor Crawford opened the meeting by explaining to those present that this Public Meeting was to receive public comments respect to a proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment, pursuant to provisions of the Planning Act, 1983, section 34 (12). The applicant has applied to rezone certain lands described as Part 20, Concession 1, (Van Veld). To date, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro not made a decision on this application, other than proceeding to this Public Meeting. Only after comments are received from the Public, requested agencies and Township Staff, within the appropriate time period, will Council make a decision on this application. Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed out on April 2, 1993, to property owners within 120 metres of the subject lands. Councillor Crawford then asked the Clerk if there had been any correspondence received on this matter. The Clerk responded by indicating that one letter had been received from the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority, stating they had no objection to proposed zoning amendment. Kris Menzies: Councillor Crawford then stated that those persons present would afforded the opportunity of asking questions with respect to the proposed Amendment. He then turned the meeting over to the Tow Planner, Ms. Kris Menzies, to explain the purpose and effect of proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment. The subject property is located on Part 20, Concession 1, in the municipality. purpose of the Public Meeting is to Council the opportunity to hear public comments on the application before making decision. r I' - 2 - Kris Menzies: The proposal before Council this evening to rezone a small piece of property from the Open Space Zone to the Rural Residential Zone in order to permit the construction of a single family dwelling. The application becomes before the Council due to a request by the Committee of Adjustment. The Committee of Adj created this lot, conditionally on this rezoning taking place. The rezoning does adhere to the Township policies. If the public have any questions, both myself the owner of the property, Mr. VanVeld here too. There being no questions or comments, when being called for the third time, Councillor Crawford in closing the meeting, thanked those in attendance for their participation and advised that would consider all matters before reaching a decision. He then advised those present that if they wished to be notified of the passing of the proposed By-law, they should leave their name and address with the Clerk.
