Drury Deputy Reeve David Caldwell Councillor Joanne Crokam Councillor Leonard Mortson Absent: Councillor Alastair Crawford Also Present Were: Ms. Kris Menzies, Mr. Clementine Manzone, Ms. Gina Manzone, Mr. Ross Manzone, Mr. Bud Arbour, Mr. Ross Cotton, Ms. Suzanne Robillard, Mrs. Gail O'Brien. Reeve Robert E. Drury chaired the meeting. Reeve Robert E. Drury opened the meeting by explaining to those present that this Public Meeting was to receive public comments respect to a proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment, pursuant to provisions of the Planning Act, 1983, section 34 (12). The applicant has applied to rezone certain lands described as Lot 12, Plan 1316, Concession 14, (Brown). To date, the Council of the corporation of the Township of Oro not made a decision on this application, other than proceeding to this Public Meeting. only after comments are received from the Public, requested agencies and Township Staff, within the appropriate time period, will Council make a decision on this application. Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed out on July 22, 1993, to property owners within 120 metres of the subject lands. Reeve Robert E. Drury then asked the Clerk if there had been any correspondence received on this matter. The Clerk responded by indicating that one letter had been received from the Simcoe District Health unit stating they had no objection. The Reeve then stated that those persons present would be afforded the opportunity of asking questions with respect to the proposed Amendment. He then turned the meeting over to the Township Ms. Kris Menzies, to explain the purpose and effect of the Zoning By-Law Amendment. Kris Menzies: The subject property is located on Lot 12 Plan 1316. The purpose of tonights is to afford Council the opportunity to hear public comments on the rezoning application, prior to making a decision the application. The effect of the application would be to rezone the subj property from its current Shoreline Residential Zone to a General Residential Zone, which would allow year round occupancy of the dwelling unit. Curre the Shoreline Residential Zone only al for Seasonal occupancy of any single fami dwelling unit. . , - 2 - Kris Menzies: There are certain requirements under the Official Plan which a lot must adhere to prior to council making favourable consideration for a conversion. This particular lot does meet those Official Plan requirements. The owner of the property, Mr. Brown, is here and he is available to answer any questions if the public has any. Suzanne Robillard: I did not receive notice of the appl and I am not at all geographically famil where the location is. Kris Menzies: (Indicated location on map) There being no further questions or comments, when being called the third time, the Reeve in closing the meeting, thanked those in attendance for their participation and advised that Council would consider all matters before reaching a decision. He then advised those present that if they wished to be notified of the passing of the proposed By-law, they should leave their name and address with the Clerk. MOTION NO.1 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Crokam Be it resolved that this Special Public Meeting of Council (Lot 12, Plan 1316, Concession 14, Brown) now be adjourned @ 7:18 p.m.
