THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE
BY.-LAW NUMBER 88-20
BE I NG A BY-LAW to appoint Fire Prevention Officers as Building Inspectors
WHEREAS under Section Xl> of the Building Code Act, Council of a
Municipality is responsible for the enforcernent of the Act;

AND WHEREAS under Section 3(2) of the Building Code Act the Council
shall appoint such Inspectors as are necessary for the purposes of enforcement of
the said act;

AND WHEREAS Council of the Township of Medonte wish to ass1gn specific
responsibility for the enforcement of the said act and regulations made thereunder;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Township of Medonte enacts as follows:
1) That persons employed as Fire Prevention Officers in the Township of
Medonte Fire Department are hereby appointed Inspectors pursuant
to Section 3(2) of the Act and shall be responsible for enforcing
those sections of the Building Code as set out in Schedule "A"
annexed hereto and forrning part of this By-Law.
2) That this By-Law shall take affect on the date of its passing.
