A By-law to amend
Zoning By-law No. 1990-22
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Medonte enacted Zoning By-law No. 1990-22, as amended;
AND WHEREAS the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Ch. P.13, Section
34, gives the authority for the council of a local munioipality
to pass by-laws to amend the zoning by-law;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Medonte enacts as follows:
1.
That Schedule At Map 1, forming part of Zoning By-law No.
1990-22, as amended, is hereby further amended by re20ning
the lands in part of Lot 9, Concessions 7 and 8, shown on
Schedule A'attached, from the Rural (RU) Zone and the Low
Environmental Sensitivity (ES2) Zone to' the Recreational
Commercial Exception Holding (C3-1(H)) Zone and the
Private Open Space Exception Holding (OS2-1(H)) Zone, and
that Schedule A ~ttached forms part of this By-law.

2. That a new subsection, 2.8.4 C3 Zone Exceptions, is hereby
added to Subsect.ion 2.8 of Zoning By-law No. 1990-22, as
' follows =
"2.8.4
C3 Zone Exceptions
C3-1 (Lot 9, Concession 8)
Notwi thstanding the permitted uses of Subsection 2.8.2,
the lands in Lot 9, Concession S, shown as C3-1 on
Schedule A, Map 1, shall be restricted to the following
uses:
- a conference resort with a maximum of 250 suites
- a restaurant facility with a maximum seating
capacity of 500 persons
- a private park
- a detached dwelling as accessory to a permitted
use and subject to the provisions of Subsection
3.15 '

In all other respects, the provisions of the Recreational
Commercial (C3) Zone shall apply."

That a new subsection, 2.17.4 082 Zone Exceptions, is
hereby added to Subsection 2.17 of Zoning By-law No. 1990-
22, as follows:

"2.17.4
OS2 Zone Exceptions
052-1 (Lot 9, Concession 7)
Notwi thstanding the permitted uses of Subsection 2.17.2,
the lands in Lot 9, Concession 7 j shown as OS2-1. on
Schedule A, Map 1, shall be restricted to the followl.nq
uses:
- a private park
- a cross-country ski area
In all other respects, the provisions of the Private Open
Space (082) Zone shall apply."
4. . That a new Subsection, 3.26 Holding Zone Provisions, is
hereby added to Section 3:General Provisions of Zoning By-
law 1990-22, as follows:
"3.26
Holding Zone Provisions
e
(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of this By-law to
the contrary, where a Zone'Symbol is followed by a
Holding Symbol, denoted (H), no person shall use such
lands except for the purposes lawfully existing as of
the date of passing of the by-law that placed the (H:)
on the subject lands.

(b) Township Council may amend the By-law to remove the
Symbol (H) after full compliance with the following
conditions:
i) a development proposal for the subject lands has
been first approved by all relevant Municipal
,and Provincial Government bodies;
ii) all necessary agreements have been entered into
with the Township, to ensure that all other
relevant By-laws of the Township have been
complied, with, and that all the requirements
financial and otherwise, concerning the
provision of roads, installation of services and
drainage with respect to the subject lands have
been met.
5. That this By-law shall take effect and shall come into
force pursuant to the provisions of and Regulations made
under the Planning Act.
