THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE
BY-LAW NO, 1992-51
A BY-LAW UNDER THE LINE FENCE ACT
e
WHEREAS the Line Fences Act Chapter L.17, statutes of Ontario, 1990, Section 2 instructs Council
of every Municipality to pass a By-law appointing Fence Viewers and establish a remuneration for their
service;
AND WHEREAS Section 5(2) of the Line Fence Act authorizes Council to restrict the time of year
during which the Fence Viewers will arbitrate;
AND WHEREAS Section 17(1) of the Line Fence Act authorizes Council to establish an administration
fee for services provided under the Line Fence Act;
e NOW THEREFORE Council of the Corporation of the Township enacts as follows:
(1) That Robert Ego, Eldon Tinney, Everett Johnstone and Don Woodrow be appointed as Fence
Viewers for the Township of Medonte,
(2) That each Fence Viewer shall be paid $40.00 per call plus the Township current mileage rate.
(3) That no arbitration or other proceedings requiring the Fence Viewers attendance or reattendance
shall be carried out between the 1st day of November and the 31st day of March in the
following year.
(4) That Council hereby establishes an Administration fee of $30,00 per call,
(5) That this By-law shall come into affect on its date of passing.
