THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE
BY-LAW NO. 1992-
A By-law to amend
Zoning By-law No. 1990-22
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Medonte
enacted Zoning By-law No. 1990-22, as amended:

AND WHEREAS the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Ch. P.13, Section 34,
gives the authority for the council of a local municipality to
pass by-laws to amend the zoning by-law:
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Medonte enacts as follows:
1.
That Schedule A, Map 1, forming part of Zoning By-law No.
1990-22, as amended, is hereby further amended by rezoning
the lands in part of Lots 4 and 5, Concession 9, shown on
Schedule A attached, from the Rural (RU) Zone to the Rural
Exception (RU-30) Zone and the Rural Exception (RU-3l) Zone,
and that Schedule A attached forms part of this By-law.

2. That new subsections RU-30 and RU-3l are hereby added to
Subsection 2.19.7 "RU Zone Exceptions" of Zoning By-law No.
1990-22 following RU-29:
"RU-30 (Lot 5, Concession 9)
Notwithstanding the regulations of Subsection 2.19.3,
the lands in Lot 5, Concession 9, shown as RU-30 on
Schedule A, Map 1, shall have a minimum lot area of 4
hectares. In all other respects, the provisions of the
Rural (RU) Zone shall apply.
RU-3l (Lots 4 and 5, Concession 9)

Notwithstanding the permitted uses of Subsection 2.19.2
and the regulations of Subsection 2.19.3, the lands in
Lots 4 and 5, Concession 9, shown as RU-31 on Schedule
A, Map 1, shall not be used for any residential use and
shall have a minimum lot area of 43 hectares, including
any lands zoned Low Environmental Sensitivity (ES2). In
all other respects, the provisions of the Rural (RU)
Zone shall apply."

That this By-law shall take effect and shall come into force
pursuant to the provisions of and Regulations made under the
Planning Act.

Explanation of the Purpose and Effect of the By-law
1.
The Corporation of the Township of Medonte has received
an application to change the zoning of Part of Lots 4
and 5, Concession 9.
2.
This By-law will change the zoning on a portion of the
subject lands from the "Rural (RU) Zone" to the "Rural
Ex~eption (RU-30) Zone" and the remainder to the "Rural
Exception (RU- 31) Zone". .
3. The Rural Exception (RU-30) Zone will allow the use of
one (1) new lot of 4 hectares in area, created by
consent for land severance, for permitted rural uses.
The lot contains the existing residence and farm
buildings.
4.
The balance of the applicants' lands will be zoned
Rural Exception (RU-3l), since the retained lot is a
newly created smaller parcel of land which has an area
of 43 hectares, including lands which are zoned Low
Environmental Sensitivity (ES2). No residential use is
permitted on the lands zoned RU-3l, but other rural
uses are permitted.
