THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE BY-LAW NO. 87-20 being a By-Law relating to the dismissal of the Road Superintendent WHEREAS the Road Superintendent, Mr. Elmer Robertson, was suspended from his municipal duties on the 28th day of July,1987; AND WHEREAS on the 13th day of August, 1987 a Committee of the Whole of Council investigated the conduct of Mr. Robertson and prepared a Report, dated the 13th day of August, 1987; AND WHEREAS a copy of the Report was given to Mr. Robertson and to his solicitor; AND WHEREAS pursuant to the recommendations of the Report, Council did call a hearing, pursuant to Section 99 of The ^--..., and to permit Mr. Robertson to make such submissions as he and Municipal Act, to review the allegations against Mr. Robertson . , his Council felt necessary; AND WHEREAS the said hearing was held on the 31st day of August, 1987 at which both Mr. Robertson and his solicitor were in attendance; AND WHEREAS the Committee's Report dated the 13th day of August, 1987 was open for review and discussion by all parties; AND WHEREAS the Commi ttee of the Whole prepared Report No. 2 dated the 18th day of September, 1987, relating to the hearing held on the 31st day of August, 1987; AND WHEREAS the recommendation of the Committee was that the municipality had just cause to consider a dismissal By-Law relating to the Road Superintendent; .. ~ r~ BE IT ENACTED as a By-law of the Corporation of this municipality as follows: 1. That Mr. Elmer Robertson be dismissed as Road Superintendent of this Municipality, effective as of this date. 2. That the Clerk be instructed to calculate the monies owing . to Mr. Robertson by way of sick leave time and holiday pay. 3. That the Clerk forward to Mr. Robertson and his solicitor a copy of Report No. 2 of the Committee of the Whole dated . September 18th, 1987. BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally passed this day of September, 1987. . ,
