NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENTS
TO THE ZONING BY-LAW
OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Monday, May 17, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the
public meeting is to obtain public comments on proposed amendments to the Zoning By-law, under Section
34 of the Planning Act, RS.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
THE PROPOSED Zoning By-law Amendments would establish new pennitted locations in Zoning By-law
97-95 for detached accessory buildings (garages and sheds) on small lots in the Agricultura1lRural (A/RU)
Zone.
IF APPROVED, the proposed zoning amendments would amend Table B4-Part C Provisions for Buildings,
except Single Detached Dwellings by deleting the provisions under "Any other building not classified in Part
C of Table B4" and adding to Section 5.1.3 Pennitted locations for Detached Accessory Buildings and
Structures "in all zones".
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands has not been provided as the proposed
amendments apply across the entire Township and are a general text amendment.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support
of or in opposition to the proposed Amendments. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision
of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendments does not make oral submission at
the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendments are
adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning
By-law Amendments, you must make a written request to the address below.

THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ORO-MEDONTE
BY-LAW NO. 2004-
Being a By-law to amend By-law 97-95
WHEREAS it is considered desirable to control development within the Township of Oro-Medonte
in accordance with the Official Plan and to prohibit the use of land and the erection and use of
buildings or structures except for certain purposes, and to regulate the type of construction and
the height, bulk, location, size, floor area, character and use of buildings in accordance with the
provisions of Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c.P. 13 as amended;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte is empowered to
pass By-laws to regulate the use of land pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990,
c.P.13.
AND WHEREAS the passage of such a by-law will conform with the Official Plan;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte enacts as
follows:
1. That Table B4 - Subsection C - Provisions for Buildinas. except sinale detached dwellinas
is hereby amended by deleting the column entitled "Any other building not classified in
part C of Table B4".
2. That Section 5.1.3 Permitted locations for detached accessory buildinas and structures is
hereby amended with the addition of the following at the end of the title "in all zones".
3. This By-law shall come into effect upon the date of passage hereof, subject to the
provisions of the Planning Act, as amended.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME on the
