THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO
Interim Control
BY-LAW NO. 90-13
Being a By-Law of the Corporation of the Township of Oro
to impose interim control on the use of
lands, buildings and structures within certain defined areas.
WHEREAS Section 37 of the Planning Act, S.O. 1983, Chapter 1 provides
that where the Council of a local municipality has by by-law or
resolution directed that a review or study be undertaken in respect of
land use planning policies in the municipality or in any defined
area or areas thereof, the Council of a municipality may enact a by-law
to be in effect for a period of time specified in the By-law
prohibiting the use of land, buildings or structures within the
municipality or within the defined area or areas thereof except
for such purposes as set out in the By-law;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro has
by resolution directed that a review or study be undertaken in respect
of land use planning policies within certain defined areas within
the municipality with respect to the maximum standards for the height
of buildings and structures;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro deems
it expedient to prohibit the use of certain lands, buildings or
structures within certain areas of the municipality to allow the
municipality to review and if deemed appropriate implement the findings
of said study;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro
enacts as follows:
1. Notwithstanding the permitted uses and regulations of By-law
No. 1031, as amended, no new buildings or structures or additions
to existing buildings or structures are permitted in the area shown
on Schedule "A" attached hereto and defined as follows:
a) East half of Lots 15, 16, 17 and 18 in Concession V.
b) West half of Lot 15 in Concession VI.
c) All of Lots 16, 17 and 18 in Concession VI.
d) East half of Lot 19 in Concession VI.
e) West half of Lot 17 in Concession VII.
f) South half of the east half of Lot 17 in Concession VII.
g) All of Lots 18 and 19, Concession VII.
h) North half of the east half of Lot 20 in Concession VII.
i) South half of Lot 17 in Concession VIII.
j) All of Lots 18, 19, 20 and 21 in Concession VIII.
k) West half of Lots 19 and 20 in Concession IX.
1) Part of the west half of Lot 21 lying north of Highway 11 in
Concession IX.

2. Schedule "A" attached hereto forms part of this by-law.
3. This By-law shall take effect subject to the provisions
of the Planning Act, 1983 for a period of 6 months from the
date of enactment. The expiration date of this By-law
shall be July 22, 1990.
