The municipal staff be directed to conduct a review of practices adopted by other municipalities in Ontario, regarding the notification of individuals who have made comments during statutory public meetings related to zoning matters. This review should focus on practices that exceed the legislative requirements, particularly in terms of: a. Methods of notification (e.g., email, mail, SMS, public postings); b. Timing and frequency of updates provided to commenters; c. Clarity and comprehensiveness of the information provided; d. Use of digital platforms and social media for enhanced engagement; e. Any innovative practices that foster greater public participation and transparency. 2. Based on this review, the staff is to prepare a report that: a. Summarizes the findings of the review, highlighting best practices and innovative approaches to public notification; b. Assesses the feasibility, benefits, and potential challenges of implementing similar practices in our municipality; c.
