II I II II II , \ , THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO BY-LAW NO. 91- 54 Being a By-Law to Amend By-Law No. 90-102 the "Noise Control By-Law" WHEREAS council for the Corporation of the Township of Oro passed By-Law No. 90-102 on the 7th day of August, 1990 being a By-Law to Control Noise; AND WHEREAS Council deems it advisable to amend By-Law No. 90-102 to further clarify the lands designated as Residential vs. Agricultural and to further restrict the persistent barking, calling or whining or other similar persistent noise making by any domestic pet or any other animal kept or used for any purpose other than agriculture; I I I II I' I I I I I NOW THEREFORE Council for the Corporation of the Township of Oro hereby enacts as follows: 1. section 1 (3) of By-Law No. 90-102 is repealed and replaced with the following: (3) Zones In this By-Law, (a) Residential Area "Residential Area" means those areas of the municipality specified as follows: i) Lands within the following villages: Shanty Bay, Oro station, Edgar, Guthrie, Hawkestonej ii) All lands within 500 meters of the shores of Lake simcoe; and iii) All lands within registered plans of subdivision within the Township of Ore. (b) Agricultural Area "Agricultural Area" means those areas of the municipality specified as follows: I I II .e I I , i) All lands situate within the Municipality other those specifically indicated as being a Residential area. Residential and Agricultural areas are delineated in the mapping attached to and forming part of this By-law as Schedule "A". 2. section 9 of Table 3-1, "Prohibited Period of Time" be amended by replacing the symbol "A" under headings of Residential Area and Agricultural Area with the words "At all Times" in both places, thereby prohibiting the persistent barking, calling or whining or other similar persistent noise making by any domestic pet or any other animal kept or used for any purpose other than agriculture. -II j . I H .. fi Ii. .~ ,II 11 II 'I I I I -- I I I .. -2- 3. section 11 of By-Law No. 90-102 is hereby amended by repealing the phrase "not more than $2,000.00" and replacing it with "not more than $5,000.00" thereby increasing the maximum penalty for contravening the by- law. 4. This By-Law shall come into force and take effect upon receiving the approval of the Minister of the Environment as attested to by her signature below. READ a first and second time this 29th day of July, 1991. READ a third time and finally passed this 29th day of July, 1991.
