NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT
TO THE ZONING BY-LAW
OF THE TOWNSIßP OF ORO-MEDONTE

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Monday, April 19, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the
public meeting is to obtain public .comments on proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of
the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
mE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment would be to rezone the lands described as Concession 9,
South Part Lot 8, RP 51R-28291, Part I (formerly within the Township of Oro). The subject land is proposed
to be rezoned from the Private Recreation Exception One-Seventeen with Holding Provision (PR*1l7(H»
Zone to a Site Specific AgriculturallRural (AIRU*) Zone. The rezoning would permit a maximum setback of
190 metres (623feet) from the front lot line for all buildings and structures to ensure. all buildings are located
outside of the Oro Moraine Core/Corridor Area designation. The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment would
also i:equire a minimum front yard setback of 30 metres (98.4 feet) for all buildings and structures from the
existing haul route (Line 9 N.).

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of
or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. H a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of tJ¡¡e
Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the pubIlc
meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment are adopted, the Ontario
Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
H you wish to be notified of the decision ofthe Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By-
law Amendment, you must make a written i:equest to the address below.

PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT
PART LOT 8, RP 51R28291, PART 1 CONCESSION 9 NORTH
TOWNSIDP OF ORO-MEDONTE (ORO)
Thank you for notification regarding the above-noted Public Meeting to change the zoning for a
parcel of land located on Line 9 North. The property is currently zoned Private Recreation
Exception One-Seventeen with Holding Provision (PR * 117(H). It will be rezoned to a Site
Specific Agricultural/Rural (AlRU*) Zone. The rezoning would permit a maximum setback of
190 metres from the front lot line for all buildings and structures to ensure all buildings are
located outside of the Oro Moraine Core/Corridor Area designation.
Planning staff have no objections to the proposed rezoning application. Elementary students
residing in this area of the municipality attend Guthrie Public School and secondary students
attend Orilia Park Street Collegiate.
