3. Business arising from the minutes - of meeting of May 10, 1988
(a) Secretary reported that following the review of the draft
copy of the program for the Memorial Service at the African
Church, June 12th., by Joanna McEwen the program was presented
to the Township office for typing and photo copy.
(b) Secretary reported that he had presented a copy of history
of Municipal Council and administration over the years to
the Administrator/Clerk's Office, after same had been
concurred to by Wallace Key. This was requested by Council
in a letter from the Administrator/Clerk which was presented
to the last regular meeting.
(e) Secretary retorted that Rev. Frank Stevens had agreed to take
the Service at the African Church - Also that after the arrange-
ments had been made the O.B.E.S. had advised that a Minister
would be coming. Sec. Also presented letter to Glace Lawremce
advising that the Sermon would be taken by Mr. Stevens and
that if a Minister would be present he could take part. A
further telephone call was received on May 30th. advising that

(a) Completing all details for the Service. Notification,
advertising - parking (O.P.P.) - Administrator advised that
he would contact the 0.P.P. - Committee to look after the
arrangements with the Clowes W.I. Portable Toilet would be
placed by the Township.
Kent Dempsey will be present with P.A. System and Key Board
Chairs, tables, et c.
5. Other New Business
(a) Presented letter from F.J. Payne to Alex. Johnston re:
Plaque for Marion Keith, also enclosing copy of letter to
Ministry of Culture regarding same - purpose of letter being
presented to the History Committee is to get the support
of the Committee for the project. Sec. adviced that he had
informed Alex Johnston that this would likely have to be
go through the County Historic Sites Committee.
(b) Other matters
