History Committee met this evening in the Tonwship Council Chambers at 7:45 P.m.
with the following members present:

Minutes of the Meeting of May 21, 1986

Moved by Ruth Fraser and seconded by Howard Campbell that the Minutes of the
Meeting of May 21, 1986 be adopted as presented and circulated.
Chairperson Joanna McEwen outlined the preparation and printing of the Knox
History Committee and that the final cost was $1000.00.
It was moved by Jean Cameron and by Henry Neufe1c that the Oro Township History
Committee recommend to Oro Council that the Knox Presbyterian Church History be
sold at $3.00 per copy and that if copies are requested to be mailed the price
be $3.75 per copy to cover postage and handling charges. Carried.
Chairperson had requested that Henry Neufeld contact all the Trustees of Knox
Church as to whether the Trustees would be in favour of placing the History of
Knox for sale prior to the Knox Annual Service on June 29, 1986.
Henry Neufeld advised that all Trustees were in favour of placing them on sale
prior to the Annual Service.

History of Knox to be made available for sale on June 29th, 1986 at the Knox
Annual Service. Loreen Lucas and Howard Campbell to look after the sale of the
books at Knox on Sunday June 29, 1986.
Highway #93, Heritage road was again presented and after some discussion left
over to the September Meeting.
Proposed Committee Activities
September — Oro Fair
January, 1987 — Proposed review for revision of the Story of Oro as prepared
by the Ad. Hoc. Committees of the various areas.
Rough notes and Photos
February, March & April — Prepare and compile on revisions for reprint of
Story of Oro.
June — All material should be ready for final preparation to go to printer.
After discussion it was moved by Jean Cameron and Loreen Lucas that C. Wallace
Key and Walter Hutchinson be asked to assist the History Committee and be
added to the Committee for the purpose of the reprinting of the Story of Oro.
The first meeting of the Committee in the fall is set for Thursday, September
11, 1986 at 7:30 p.m.
Two members of the History Committee, Howard Campbell and Loreen Lucas will
attend Canada Day and have History Books available as well as other material
for display.
