By-law No. 2023-001
A By-law to Authorize the Execution of an Agreement between the Township of
Oro-Medonte and Virginia& Raymond Gingras to allow for Two Dwellings
and to Repeal By-Law No. 2021-024
Whereas the Municipal Act, 2001,S.O. 2001, c.25, Section 224, as amended, states
that it is the role of Council to ensure that administrative practices and procedures are in
place to implement the decisions of Council;
And Whereas the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte deems
it desirable to enter into an agreement extension on January 4, 2023, with Virginia and
Raymond Gingras, for a 24 month period from the date of Building Permit issuance, to
temporarily reside in a dwelling unit within a detached accessory building at the same
time as a new single detached dwelling is under construction on those same lands
located at 3626 Line 5 North, Concession 5, East Part Lot 2 (Medonte), Township of
Oro-Medonte.
Now Therefore the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows:
1. That the Mayor and Deputy Clerk be authorized to execute the Agreement
attached hereto as Schedule"A" and forming part of this By-Law;
2. That By-law No. 2021-024 is hereby repealed in its entirety.
3. This By-law shall take effect on the final passing thereof.

to By-law No.2023-001 for
The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Nedonte
AGREEMENT
In consideratiorn of receiving a building permit from the Township of Oro-Madonte,we,
Raymond and Virginia Gingras,of the Township of tiro-Medonte(formerly Township of
ldledonte) in the County of Simcoe, covenant and agree as folkyws:
1. That we are the registered owners of Concession 5 East Part Lot 2(hedonte)being
more particularly described as 3626 Line 5 North_
2. That I have applied to the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte for
permissions to temporarily reside in our detached accessary building on the above-
mentioned lands, at the saute time as a new single detached dwelling is under
construction on those same lands,wherein such procedure is not provided for under the
p rovirsions of the Township of 0ro-Medonte s Zoning By-law as amended.
3. That I hereby acknowledge that permission has been given by the Council of the
Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte subject to the following provisions:
a) That such permission is granted for 24 months from the issuance of a Building
Permit for the single detached dwelling or until compleffon of the proposed new
single detached dwelling,whichever is the lesser period of time;and
b) That on completion of the new dwelling,.as evidenced by an Occupancy
Certificate:the existing dwelling unit in the detached accessory building is to be
decommissioned or converted Into a home occupation in accordance with the
Townships Zoning Byaaw and Minor Variance 2020-A-04 within one month to the
satisfaction of the Township's Chief Building Official_
4. That certified fiends in the amount of$20,000-00 be retained by the Corporation of the
Township of Ciro-Medonte unti I the above-mentioned conditions are fulfilled to the sole
satisfaction of the Township.
al Failure to comply with the aforementioned conditions will result in the Corporation
of the Towrshlp of Oro-Medonte redeern ing the certified funds at its sole
discretion.
5. That I hereby agree to the terms and conditions set out above.
6. It is understood that failure to comply with the terms and conditions as set out herein,
shall release and save harmless the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Wdonte from
pursuing such litigation,as may be necessary to secure compliance or conformity with
any applicable Munk pal By-law or provincial Regulation as may be provided for.
7. I hereby covenant and agree to indemnify and,save harmless the Township of Oro-
Medonte from all costs,.claims, liability and actions which may result or arise from the
issuance of the building permit or the entering into of this agreement.

By-Law No. 2023-002
Being a By-Law to Confirm the Proceedings of the Council Meeting held on
Wednesday, January 4, 2023
Whereas Section 5 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, C. 25, as amended
provides that the powers of the Municipal Council shall be exercised by By-Law,
unless the municipality is specifically authorized to do otherwise;
And Whereas The Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte
deems it expedient that the proceedings at this Council Meeting be confirmed and
adopted by By-Law;
Now Therefore the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte
hereby enacts as follows:
1. That the actions of the Council at its Council Meeting held on Wednesday,
January 4, 2023, and in respect to each Motion, Resolution and other actions
passed and taken by the Council at its said Meeting is, except where prior
approval of the Ontario Land Tribunal is required, hereby adopted, ratified and
confirmed.
2. That the Mayor and the proper Officials of the Township are hereby authorized
and directed to do all things necessary to give effect to the said action or to
obtain approvals where required and to execute all documents as may be
necessary on behalf of the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-
Medonte.
3. That the Mayor/Chair and Clerk/Designate are hereby authorized and directed to
execute and affix the corporate seal to all necessary documents.
4. And That this by-law shall come into force and take effect on the final passing
thereof.
