2022-075 By-law to Amend By-law 2022-038 a By-law to Appoint Law Enforcement Officers/Provincial Offencs Officers and Repeal By-law 2022-054The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte By-law No. 2022-075 A By-law to Amend By-law 2022-038 "A By-law to Appoint Municipal Law Enforcement Officers/Provincial Offences Officers" and Repeal By- law 2022-054 Whereas Section 224 of the Municipal Act 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, Section 224, as amended, provides that the role of Council is to ensure that administrative practices are in place to implement the decisions of Council; And Whereas Section 15 of the Police Services Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P. 15, Section 15, provides the appointment of Municipal Law Enforcement Officers for the purpose of enforcing the by-laws of a municipality; And Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte did on the 27th day of April, 2022, enact By-law 2022-038, "A By-law to Appoint Municipal Law Enforcement Officers/Provincial Offences Officers"; And Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte does now find it expedient to amend By-law 2022-038; Now Therefore the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows: 1. That Schedule "C" of By-law 2022-038 be amended by deleting "Brooklyn Robinson"; 2. That Schedule "C" of By-law 2022-038 be amended by adding: Cora Thomas 3. That By-law 2022-054 is hereby repealed in its entirety. 4. This by-law shall take effect on the final passing thereof.
