provisions of Section 34, of the Planning Act. The applicant
has applied to rezone lands being Concession 6, East Part of Lot

a cemetery.
To date, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-

received from the Public, requested agencies and Township Staff,
within the appropriate time period, will Council make a decision

to all property owners within 400 feet of the subject lands.

this matter.
The Clerk then stated that those persons present would be
afforded the opportunity of asking questions with respect to the
proposed Amendment. She then turned the meeting over to the

Andria Leigh:
Thank you Madame Clerk. The purpose of this meeting tonight is
to obtain comments from the public before Council considers this
amendment.
The proposed amendment would rezone a portion of property in
Concession 6, Part of Lot 25 from the Agricultural Zone to the
Institutional Zone.
The subject property is located at the north west corner of Line
6 South and County Road 20 (Ridge Road) . The portion to be
rezoned is highlighted in red (shown on the map).
The effect of this amendment would be to permit the future
expansion of the cemetery.
This rezoning is being completed as a condition of a consent
application which was approved by the Committee of Adjustment in
March of 1996.
As I indicated earlier, tonight's meeting is solely to obtain
public comments with respect to this rezoning prior to Council
considering the amendment.
Mayor Beard:
Are there any questions?
There being no further questions or comments, when being called
for the third time, the Mayor in closing the meeting, thanked
those in attendance for their participation and advised that
Council would consider all matters before reaching a decision.
He then advised those present that if they wished to be notified
of the passing of the proposed By-law, they should leave their
name and address with the Clerk.
