L. Silverthorn, Robert Quinn, Garnet Horne, Earl Robertson, Teresa Currie, Richard VanGastel, Linda Neir, Frank Neir. Mayor Ian Beard chaired the meeting. Mayor Ian Beard opened the meeting by explaining to those present that this Public Meeting was to receive public comments with respect to a proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment, under provisions of sections 34, of the Planning Act. The applicant has applied to rezone certain lands, Lot 22, Plan 993, Concession 2, formerly Orillia, from seasonal residential use to a permanent residential use to permit permanent residential use. To date, the Council of the corporation of the Township of Oro- Medonte have not made a decision on this application, other than proceeding to this Public Meeting. Only after comments are received from the Public, requested agencies and Township Staff, within the appropriate time period, will Council make a decision on this application. 8 Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed out on February 1,1996, to all property owners within 400 feet of the subject lands. Mayor Beard then asked the Clerk if there had been any correspondence received on this matter. The Clerk responded by indicating that correspondence had been received from the Simcoe county Health Unit indicating they were not opposed to the application being granted. The Mayor then stated that those persons present would be afforded the opportunity of asking questions with respect to the proposed Amendment. He then turned the meeting over to the zoning Administrator, Mrs. Andria Leigh, to explain the purpose and effect of the proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment. .. t 8 8 ,. - 2 - Andria Leiqh: Thank you Mr. Mayor. As the mayor has indicated the subject property is located in Lot 22, Plan 993, Concession 2, in the former Township of Orillia. The proposed rezoning would change the use of the property from a seasonal residential use to a year round residential use, subj ect to the approval of the Simcoe County Distrit Health unit. As indicated by the Deputy Clerk, we received that approval on February 9, 1996. The purpose of tonight's meeting is to hear comments from the Public if they have any concerns with the proposed rezoning and I will now turn it back to the mayor. Mayor Beard: Thank you. If anyone has questions on this from the people in the audience, would they please come forward to the mike and state your name for the record as we record this portion of the meeting so we can prepare the minutes. council, do you have any questions on this? There being no further questions or comments, when being called for the third time, the Mayor in closing the meeting, thanked those in attendance for their participation and advised that Council would consider all matters before reaching a decision. He then advised those present that if they wished to be notified of the passing of the proposed By-law, they should leave their name and address with the Clerk.
