Motion #2 Moved by Dickie, seconded by Craig It is recommended that the report from Jack Anderson, Livestock Valuer, re: calf killed by wolves, calf owned by Neil McNiven, Lot 3, Conc. 8 (Oro), be received and the Treasurer be authorized to make compensation to Mr. McNiven in the amount of $400.00. Motion #3 Moved by Craig, seconded by Dickie It is recommended that the report from Jeff Brydges, Deputy Treasurer, re: Reduction of Securities Monica Interior Design Ltd., Sugarbush Phase III Stage III, be received and adopted and the Treasurer be authorized to reduce the Royal Bank of Canada's letter of credit for Monica Interior Design Limited, dated September 22, 1989, by $37,931.00 from $47,931.00 to $10,000.00 based on the updated recommendations of R. G. Robinson and Associates (Barrie) Ltd. Carried. Motion #4 Moved by Dickie, seconded by Craig It is recommended that the correspondence from Margalit Shachar, re: Requesting comments on the purchasing of filled lands, Lot 10, RP. 791 (Orillia), be received and the Township of Oro-Medonte has no object to the sale of the subject lands. Carried. Motion #5 Moved by Craig, seconded by Dickie It is recommended that the report from Janice McKinnon, Assistant to the Clerk, re: 1998 Comprehensive Insurance Package Proposal, be received and adopted. Carried. Motion #6 Moved by Dickie, seconded by Craig It is recommended that the report from Debbie Mooney, Tax Collector, re: Tax Sale Tenders, be received and adopted. Carried. -4- Motion #7 Moved by Dickie, seconded by Craig It is recommended that the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte authorize staff to draft a by-law to address height restrictions around the Lake Simcoe Regional Airport, to be presented to Council for their consideration. Carried. Motion #8 Moved by Dickie, seconded by Craig It is recommended that Council authorize Staff to correspond with the County of Simcoe in an effort to resolve the conflict with respect to the landfill compensation. Carried. Motion #9 Moved by Craig, seconded by Dickie It is recommended that the memo from Ron Sommers, Councillor, re: Benefit for the family of Late Bill Steeles, be received and the Oro-Medonte Community Arena Banquet Hall rental fee be waived for the Steeles Family Benefit Dance on Saturday, January 17,1998. Carried. Motion #10 Moved by Bell, seconded by Halfacre It is recommended that Council receive and adopt the 1997 Budget Information as at November 21, 1997. Carried. Motion #11 Moved by Sommers, seconded by Bell It is recommended that the correspondence from the City of Barrie, re: Biosolids Facility Access Road Easement to 7th Line Relative to 7th Line Reconstruction Cost Sharing, be received and that staff be directed to propose a counter offer as presented in draft form. Carried. Moved by Bell, seconded by Halfacre It is recommended that the report from Keith Mathieson, Public Works Manager, re: Bell Telephone Request for an Easement from the Township of Oro-Medonte over Part of the West Half of Lot 15, Concession 7, be received and adopted and Bell Canada be granted the proposed easement that is required and that the municipality be financially compensated in the amount of $1 ,000.00; and further that Bell Canada be instructed to install bollards around the cabinet for protection from snow plowing and vehicle parking; and further the Manager of Public Works advise Bell Canada accordingly.
