Mayor Beard chaired the meeting and called the meeting to order at 1 :05 p.m.

Mr. Keith Sherman, Severn Sound
Environmental Association, provided
information to Council with respect to the 1997
highlights of the Severn Sound Remedial
Action Plan and the goals and objectives of
serving the needs of local municipalities.
Some areas discussed were the Tributary
Rehabilitation Program, Rural Non Point
Source Control Project, Planning to Sustain a
Healthy Ecosystem, Monitoring Activities and
the Activities Planned for 1998.

It is recommended that Report No. 98-01, Paul Eenhoorn, Fire Chief re: Land
Base Ambulance Services be received and that if and when a Steering
committee is struck by the County to review the recent downloading of the Land
Based Ambulance Services from the province to upper tier Government (County
of Simcoe) that the S.C.F.C.A.G. be afforded the opportunity of representation
on the Committee and the County of Simcoe be so advised.

the amount of $400.00.

Gravel Crushing, Roadside Grass Cutting (3 year contract), Fuel (3 year
contract), Slurry Seal and Winter Sand in local newspapers.
