DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST AND GENERAL NATURE THEREOF: - IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ACT. None declared. 2. DEPUTATIONS: (a) 1 :08 p.m. Mr. Keith Sherman, Severn Sound Environmental Association, provided information to Council with respect to the 1997 highlights of the Severn Sound Remedial Action Plan and the goals and objectives of serving the needs of local municipalities. Some areas discussed were the Tributary Rehabilitation Program, Rural Non Point Source Control Project, Planning to Sustain a Healthy Ecosystem, Monitoring Activities and the Activities Planned for 1998. -2- 3. Motion No.2 Moved by Fountain, seconded by Sommers It is recommended that Report No. 98-01, Paul Eenhoorn, Fire Chief re: Land Base Ambulance Services be received and that if and when a Steering committee is struck by the County to review the recent downloading of the Land Based Ambulance Services from the province to upper tier Government (County of Simcoe) that the S.C.F.C.A.G. be afforded the opportunity of representation on the Committee and the County of Simcoe be so advised. Carried. Motion No.4 Moved by Sommers, seconded by Bell It is recommended that the report from Jack Anderson, Livestock Valuer, re: Calf killed by wolves, calf owned by Robert Quinn, Lot 8, Concession 14, be received and the Treasurer be authorized to make compensation to Mr. Quinn in the amount of $400.00. Carried. Motion No. 6 Moved by Bell, seconded by Sommers It is recommended that Report No. RDS98-05, Jerry Ball, Road Superintendent re: 1998 Tender Contracts for Road Material be received and the Road Superintendent be authorized to advertise the tenders for Calcium Chloride, Gravel Crushing, Roadside Grass Cutting (3 year contract), Fuel (3 year contract), Slurry Seal and Winter Sand in local newspapers. Motion No. 12 Moved by Craig, seconded by McConnell It is recommended that the Supplemental Report from Nick McDonald, The Planning Partnership re: Cotton and Currie Applications - P61/96 and P63/96 be received and the draft by-laws be presented for Council consideration. Carried. Members of the audience and being Mr. Jordan, Ms. Beaton and Mrs. Martenson-Hemsted were provided an opportunity to address Council with respect to the Supplemental Report. -6- Motion No. 13 Moved by Bell, seconded by Sommers It is recommended that we suspend rule 21 (d) of Procedural By-law 95-44 in order to allow the meeting to proceed past the normal adjournment hour of 4:00 p.m. Carried.
