Mayor Beard chaired the meeting and called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. Council recessed for lunch @ 12:00 p.m. and reconvened @ 1 :15 p.m. 1. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST AND GENERAL NATURE THEREOF: -IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ACT. None declared. 2. DEPUTATIONS: 9:10 a.m. Patricia Hehn & Sgt. John Bateman provided Council with background information on the purpose and function of the Orillia & District Victim Crisis Services Programme. Serious problems may occur with persons residing in the area and visitors vacationing in the district as well. The Victim Crisis Services Programme is requesting endorsement of the organization and that the Province be advised of the endorsement. -2- 2. Dixon, Inspector, Ontario Provincial Police re: Formation of a Community Policing Advisory Committee be received and the Township of Oro-Medonte are willing to meet with Severn Township and Township of Ramara and the OPP to discuss a Community Policing Advisory Committee. Motion No. 12 Moved by Hough, Seconded by Craig It is recommended that the report from Nick McDonald, The Planning Partnership, re: Environmental Review Needs be received and adopted and the Planning Department be authorized to prepare a brief Terms of Reference outlining the Township's Environmental Review needs, and the Terms of Reference be sent to the Conservation Authorities and at least three environmental consulting firms for a proposal to fulfill the Township's Environmental Review needs.
