THEREOF: -IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ACT.
None declared.
2. DEPUTATIONS:
10:15 a.m.
Mr. Harvey and Mr. Card addressed Council
regarding a request to reduce the taxes over a
number of years on Mr. Harvey's property.
The position of Mr. Harvey through his solicitor
Mr. Card is that a large amount of industrial
waste material leaked from a neighbour's
property to Mr. Harvey's property beginning in
1988. The MOEE become involved and an
order was made to remove the material, which
was not complied with and a conviction was
obtained. A mandatory order was obtained to
remove the material. As Mr. Harvey feels and
Mr. Card indicated, their position is that the
subject land has been detrimentally affected
and the taxes should be reduced from 1988 to
1995.
