Council met this morning @ 10:00 a.m. with the following members present:

Mayor Ian Beard assumed the chair and called the meeting to order.

with respect to proposed uses on the
abandoned CN Line from Thunder
Bridge to the City of Orillia limits: Bob
Birnie, Linda Campbell, Rosemarie
Dunsmore, John Newman, Marijka
Hurko, Jim Swan, Jill Ward, Nick
Shelswell, Dorothy Moore, Jenny
Jermey, and Richard Dolson as well as
an unidentified speaker. The groups
represented are the Orillia Snowmobile
Association, the North River Riders and

the Oro-Medonte Trail Association. The
individuals presenting to Council not
representing an organization provided
opinions as to preference with respect to
motorized and non-motorized use of the
land. A tape recording of the meeting is
available for review.

Moved by Craig, Seconded by Sommers
Be it resolved that the agenda for the Special Council Meeting dated Saturday,
November 21, 1998, be adopted as printed and circulated.
Carried.
Motion No.2
Moved by McConnell, Seconded by Bell
Be it resolved that a By-law to confirm the proceedings of the Special Council
meeting held on Saturday, November 21, 1998 be introduced and read a first and
second time and numbered By-law NO. 1998-118.
Carried.
That By-law No. 1998-118 be read a third time and finally passed, be engrossed
by the Clerk, signed and sealed by the Mayor.
Carried.

Be it resolved that we do now adjourn @ 11 :30 a.m.
