It was noted that the Township had received no correspondence with respect to this proposal. Ms. Andria Leigh, Township Planner, gave an overview of the purpose and effect of the proposed temporary use by-law. . "-- The question was raised as to whether the assessment value of this property would go up as a result of the garden suite. Also, would an addition fee for garbage pick-up be required, and would the property be subject to development charges. The response was that since it is a temporary structure only, development charges would not apply. It is believed that the assessment would go up with respect to the new building, and that we could charge additional garbage pick-up fees in this case. The property can not be sold until such time as the structure was removed. A building permit is required since the structure is greater than ten square metres. Motion No.1 Moved by Craig, Seconded by Sommers Be it resolved that this Special Meeting of Council for Cone. 5, East Part of Lot 21, (formerly within the Township of Medonte) now be adjourned at 8:06 p.m. Carried.
