Mayor Beard called the meeting to order and advised that all persons
present would be afforded the opportunity of asking questions in respect
to the proposed temporary use by-law.
It was noted that the Township had received no correspondence with
respect to this proposal.
Ms. Andria Leigh, Township Planner, gave an overview of the purpose
and effect of the proposed temporary use by-law.

The question was raised as to whether the assessment value of this
property would go up as a result of the garden suite. Also, would an
addition fee for garbage pick-up be required, and would the property be
subject to development charges. The response was that since it is a
temporary structure only, development charges would not apply. It is
believed that the assessment would go up with respect to the new
building, and that we could charge additional garbage pick-up fees in this
case. The property can not be sold until such time as the structure was
removed. A building permit is required since the structure is greater than
ten square metres.
