J. Blauer (Packet and Times); Tim Crawford, Oro- Medonte History Committee; George Monkman, Dave Snowdon Mayor Beard chaired the meeting and called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. 1. FINANCE, ADMINISTRATION AND FIRE: a) Lynda Aiken, Clerk, review re: Grant/Donations, 1998-1999. b) Report No. ADM99-37, Lynda Aiken, Clerk, re: Fire Department User Fees. 4. PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT: a) Report No. PD1999-21, Andria Leigh, Township Planner, re: Deeming By-law, Conc. 5, Plan M-187, Lots 9 and 10 (010-008-094-0900 and 010-008-094-1000). \. " .> 5. IN-CAMERA: a) Confidential Report, Tim Crawford, Chair, Oro-Medonte History Committee, re: Possible Cemeteries for Blacks. b) Confidential Memo, Jennifer Zieleniewski, CAO/Treasurer, re: Personnel Matter. Motion No. 1 Moved by Bell, Seconded by Sommers It is recommended that the agenda for the Committee of the Whole meeting, Wednesday June 9, 1999 be adopted as printed and circulated with the following exception: Item 7 b) be deleted; and with the following addition: 6. a) Mayor Ian Beard, Confidential Report, re: Personnel Matter (To Be Held In- Camera ); b) Dave Snowdon, correspondence re: Oro Lea Beach dock; c) Keith Mathieson, update re: 10th Line Construction; d) Tim Crawford, presentation of new book; e) Councillor Hough, discussion re: Land Purchase (To Be Held In-Camera). Carried. Motion No.2 Moved by Sommers, Seconded by Bell It is recommended that the Statement of Accounts for the month of May, 1999 totalling $732,486.97 be received. Carried. 2 . I .. ...... Motion No.3 Moved by Bell, Seconded by Fountain It is recommended that the summary by Lynda Aiken, Clerk, re: Grants/Donations 1998-1999 be received and donations be distributed as per Council direction. Carried. Motion No.4 Moved by Fountain, Seconded by Bell It is recommended that Report No. ADM99-37 by Lynda Aiken, Clerk, re: Fire Department User Fees be received and adopted, and the appropriate by-law be brought forward for Council consideration. Deferred. Motion No.5 Moved by Fountain, Seconded by Sommers It is recommended that Report No. PD1999-21 by Andria Leigh, Township Planner, re: Deeming By-law, Conc. 5, Plan M-187, Lots 9 and 10 be received and adopted, and the appropriate by-law be brought forward for Council consideration. Carried. Motion No.6 Moved by Sommers, Seconded by Fountain It is recommended that the correspondence from Dave Snowdon re: Oro Lea Beach dock be received and referred to staff for a comprehensive report to Council following receipt of the dock proposal from Oro Lea Beach Association. Carried. A presentation was made to the Mayor and Council of the newly published "The Oro African Church" by Tim Crawford, Chairperson of the Oro-Medonte History Committee. Motion No. 7 Moved by Craig, Seconded by Hough It is recommended that we do now go In-Camera @ 11 :05 a.m. to discuss legal land purchase and personnel matters. Carried. 3 I.. w. . Motion No.9 Moved by Craig, Seconded by Hough It is recommended that the confidential report from Tim Crawford, Chair, Oro- Medonte History Committee re: Possible Cemeteries for Blacks be received and referred to staff for a report back to Council. Carried. Motion No. 10 Moved by Hough, Seconded by McConnell It is recommended that Confidential Report by Mayor Ian Beard re: Personnel Matter be received and adopted. Carried. Motion No. 11 Moved by McConnell, Seconded by Hough It is recommended that we do now adjourn @ 11 :45 a.m. Carried. 4
