Councillor Dickie Recreation Advisory - past Saturday toured ball diamond facilities and another tour planned for other various parks. MOTION NO.2 Moved by Martin, seconded by Dickie It is recommended that the correspondence from Oro-Barrie-Orill Regional Airport commission re: Oro-Barrie-Orillia Regional Airport Name Change be received and Council supports the Commissions proposal to hold a competition to select a new name for the facility. Carried. MOTION NO.3 Moved by Martin, seconded by Dickie It is recommended that the correspondence from the Township of Springwater, re: 1995 Library Contract, be received and Council approve the entering into of a contract for library services for 1995 at a cost of $3,690.00 and further the appropriate by-law presented to Council. Cunnington, CAD, re: Local Township Solicitor be received and adopted, being that the firm of Russell, Christie, Miller & Koughan be retained as the Township's Solicitors. MOTION NO.6 Moved by Sommers, seconded by Bell It is recommended that the correspondence from R. G. Robinson & Associates Ltd., re: Sugarbush Phase III (Stage III) reduction Letter of Credit be received and the Treasurer be authorized to reduce the Letter of Credit Securities to a retained amount of $47,931.00. Carried. MOTION NO.7 Moved by Bell, seconded by Sommers It is recommended that the correspondence from Ministry of Natural Resources, re: Pit Licence Amalgamation and Replacement site Plans Walker Industries Holdings Ltd., Pt. Lots 10 & 11, Concession 7 (Oro) be received and Council have no objection to the merging of the licences. carried. MOTION NO.8 8 Moved by Dickie, seconded by Martin It is recommended that the correspondence from County of Simcoe, re: 689328 ontario Limited, request for Minor Exception of Tree Cutting By-law be received and a copy of the Township's letter dated April 10, 1995 to the County of Simcoe expressing Council' concern with the application be forwarded to the Planning Services Committee. Carried. - 5 - MOTION NO. 10 Moved by Dickie, seconded by Martin It is recommended that the correspondence from the Oro District Lions Club, re Requesting permission for Installation of Lion statuettes (Sports Complex) be received and the Parks and Recreation Manager review the request and provide a report to Council prior to approval on the installation. MOTION NO. 13 Moved by Bell, seconded by Martin It is recommended that Mayor Helen Coutts, Springwater be requested to appear before Council to present Oro-Medonte the Log Sawing Competition trophy the Township's won at the Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival on April 22, 1995.
