The Board was requesting a fee of $74,970.00, reflecting a $4,425.00 increase over 1994 contract. Council had previously suggested they would enter into the contract based on 1994 contract price only. However, the Board Chair advised that in fairness they would feel 2. 8 (d) 8 - 3 - DEPUTATIONS CONTINUED: obligated to deduct the equivalent amount from the contract between other municipalities, representing approximately 5.9% reduction in their budget. The cost reflects the actual users which has increased due to restructuring and the Board had voluntarily decrease the cost lower than the 1989 formula had shown. (c) Mr. David White, Township Solicitor, Mr. Al Lees, Township Engineer and Mr. Bill Brown, County Engineer addressed Council on the County Road 22 Road Agreement resulting from OPA #39 (Buffalo Springs, Capobianco and Sabiston, The Agreement has been authorized by Council to be entered into with all parties having executed same with the exception of the Township. The County contributes to undertake the engineering and design works on the right-turn lane with the Township financially committed to legal costs of approximately $2,000.00; engineering of approximately $40,000.00; surveying of $7,000.00 and potential relocation of utilities $6,000.00. In addition are intangible costs associated to planning and administrative services. At the conclusion of the discussions, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to execute the Agreement as previously negotiated. 10:20 a.m. 11:15 a.m. Mr. Sam Grossman, owner of Pt. Lot 35 & 36, Conc. 1 (Oro) spoke to Council on the proposed subdivision on these lands, which abuts property to the north owned by Bravakis which too has a proposed plan of subdivision by which the internal roads are linked. Mr. Grossman was requesting the transfer of the lands owned by the Township in exchange for the larger parkland dedication, as had been proposed within conditions of draft plan approval, in order that his development could proceed. Note: Council recessed for lunch @ 12:00 noon and reconvened @ 1:15 p.m. 4. Council request the County of Simcoe to reimburse the Township of Oro-Medonte for the 1994 over levy that is now apparent due to the application of incorrect equalization factors used in the 1994 levy calculations. carried.
