Mayor Ian Beard assumed the chair and called the meeting to order, followed by prayer. 1. CONSENT AGENDA CORRESPONDENCE: (a) The Simcoe County Board of Education, Report re: 1995 Current Budget. Recommendation: Receive and file. (b) County of Simcoe, Solid Waste Management Department, memo re: Amnesty Days and Free Disposal Days. Recommendation: Receive and file. (c) 9-1-1 Management Board, correspondence re: Addressing - Provincial Enhanced 9-1-1 Service. Municipal Recommendation: Receive and information be forwarded to the Fire Chief and MAS Committee I 1. (d) Ainley & Associates Limited, correspondence re: City of Orillia Water System Master Plan and Wastewater System Master Plan. Recommendation: Receive and City of orillia be advised that the Township of Oro-Medonte desire to be informed as the Master Plan proceeds. (e) Midland Public Library, correspondence re: List of Resident Library Users. Recommendation: Receive and file. (f) Glenn Simpson, correspondence re: Request for Rumble strips at intersection of County Roads 11 and 57. Recommendation: Receive and file. - 2 - 2. (h) Ernest Bidwell, Livestock Valuer Report, re: 1 calf killed b wolves, calf owned by Murray Greaves, Lot 28, Conc. 1, (Oro) e Recommendation: Receive and the Treasurer be authorized t make compensation to Murray Greaves in the amount of $500.00 (i) Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority re: deputation May 3, 1995 regarding Draft Nottawasaga Valley Watershed PIa Recommendation: Receive and file 3. DEPUTATIONS: (a) 7:30 p.m. Mr. Wayne Wilson and Ms. Wend Gleason representing the Nottawasag Valley Conservation Authorit addressed Council concerning Fil Line Mapping Project and th Watershed Management Plan. Fill Line Mappinq Through the establishment of fil lines and the administration 0 fill, construction and alteratio regulations, this would enable th Township to identify lands and area susceptible to flooding and erosio and awareness to wetlands an headwater areas. Approximately 15 of Oro-Medonte is wi thin the NVC watershed. The project cost for th area is estimated at $9,939.00 an is eligible for 50% grant from MNR. Watershed Manaqement Plan e Conservation Authorities have take a co-ordinating role in watershe planning and are working wi t municipalities, residents, th development industry, governmen organizations, non-governmen organizations, and special interes groups to prepare a Watershed Plan. The goals, objectives an recommendations of the Watershe Plan will be implemented throug land use planning documents, subwatershed plans, local agenc policies and programs and Ian stewardship initiatives.
