A By-law to authorize the Sale of Surplus Land described as
(a portion of) Part 1, Plan 51R-11344 now described as Part 1, Part of the West
Part of Lot 6, Concession 14, Plan 51 R-42669, (Geographic Township of Medonte),
now in the Township of Oro-Medonte, County of Simcoe
Whereas Section 270 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25, as amended,
authorizes a Council of a municipality to sell or otherwise dispose of land in accordance
with policies adopted and maintained by the municipality in respect thereof;
And Whereas Council enacted By -Law No. 2012-112 on the Uh day of June, 2012, Being
a By-law to Establish a Policy with respect to the Sale and Other Disposition of Land;
And Whereas Council has determined that the said lands are not required for municipal
purposes, and has by Resolution No. C200812-5 declared (a portion of) the land
described as Part 1, Plan 51 R-11344, now described as Part 1, Part of the West Part of
Lot 6, Concession 14, Plan 51 R-42669, (Geographic Township of Medonte), now in the
Township of Oro-Medonte, County of Simcoe (2 Demont Drive) described in Schedule
"A" attached hereto, to be surplus to the needs of the municipality;
And Whereas pursuant to By-law 2012-112, the Clerk of the Township of Oro-Medonte
did cause a Notice of the proposed by-law to sell (a portion of) the land described as
Part 1, Plan 51 R-11344 now described as Part 1, Part of the West Part of Lot 6,
Concession 14, Plan 51 R-42669, (Geographic Township of Medonte), now in the
Township of Oro-Medonte, County of Simcoe (2 Demont Drive) to be published in a
newspaper of local circulation, a copy of which is attached as Schedule "B" and forms
part of this by-law;
And Whereas the Township of Oro-Medonte deems it necessary to retain, for daylight
triangle purposes, the portion of land described as Part 2, Part of the West Part of Lot 6,
Concession 14, Plan 51 R-42669, (Geographic Township of Medonte), now in the
Township of Oro-Medonte, County of Simcoe (2 Demont Drive)
And Whereas the proposed by-law came before Council of The Corporation of The
Township of Oro-Medonte for consideration at its meeting on the 25th day of November
2020, and at that time Council received no notice of objection to the proposed sale of
land;
Now Therefore the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows
1. Authorization of Sale and Sale Price Consideration - In accordance with By-law
2012-112, Council in its sole discretion may utilize any method it authorizes to
effect the sale of land. Council does hereby authorize the sale of (a portion of) the
land described as Part 1, Plan 51R-11344 now described as Part 1, Part of the
West Part of Lot 6, Concession 14, Plan 51 R-42669, (Geographic Township of
Medonte), now in the Township of Oro-Medonte, County of Simcoe, (2 Demont
Drive) to Ms. Holly Beemer, the abutting property owner of 9899 Highway 12 W.
2. Sale Price and Consideration - In accordance with By-law 2012-112, Council shall
have the absolute discretion to determine the sale price of land. Council hereby
sets the sale price for (the portion of) land described as Part 1, Plan 51 R-11344
now described as Part 1, Part of the West Part of Lot 6, Concession 14, Plan 51 R-
42669, (Geographic Township of Medonte), now in the Township of Oro-Medonte,
County of Simcoe at thirty-two thousand dollars ($32,000.)
3. Execution of Documents - The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to sign all
documents to carry out the intent of this By-law.

SALE OF LAND BY-LAW
TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Oro-Medonte proposes to pass a By-law to
authorize the Sale of Surplus Land, in the Township of Oro-Medonte, County of Simcoe,
more particularly described in Schedule "A" hereto.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the proposed By -Law will come before the Council
of the Township of Oro-Medonte at its regular meeting to be held on Wednesday, the 25
day of November, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Any person who claims their land will be
prejudicially affected by the proposed sale may comment on the proposed sale by
submitting a Public Participation Request Form through the following link on the
Township of Oro-Medonte website httos://survev.simcoe.ca/survevs/deputation-form or
provide the undersigned with written comments no later than 12:00 noon on Monday,
November 23rd. 2020.
