Call to Order - Moment of Reflection: Mayor H.S. Hughes assumed the Chair and called the meeting to order. 2. Adoption of Agenda: a) Motion to Adopt the Agenda. And Whereas the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has created unprecedented worldwide health and economic implications that are significantly evolving on a daily basis; And Whereas it is important for the Township of Oro-Medonte to respond and react in a manner that will ensure that all reasonable measures are implemented and carried out to ensure its residents, businesses and institutions are adequately serviced and protected, while the health of its employees and workers is safeguarded; And Whereas it is imperative that the Township of Oro-Medonte be responsive in taking actions to address emerging issues, to implement appropriate contingency plans and to take emergency measures, if necessary; And Whereas the Township's Chief Administrative Officer is responsible for exercising general control and management of the Township for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the municipality; Now Therefore be it resolved that the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro- Medonte authorizes the Chief Administrative Officer/designate to take such action as he, in consultation with the Mayor, may deem necessary and appropriate in order to deal with any emerging issues arising from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and that the Chief Administrative Officer report back when it is practicable to do so in order to have Council ratify any matters that may require formal approval. Confirmation By -Law: a) 2020-034: Being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Special Council meeting held on Friday, March 13, 2020. Motion No. SC200313-5 Moved by Scott, Seconded by Greenlaw Be it resolved that By -Law No. 2020-034: Being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Special Council meeting held on Friday, March 13, 2020 be read a first, second and third time, passed, be engrossed by the Deputy Clerk, signed and sealed by the Mayor.
