Call to Order - Moment of Reflection: Mayor H.S. Hughes assumed the Chair and called the meeting to order. 2. Adoption of Agenda: a) Motion to Adopt the Agenda. Open Forum: Three (3) individuals provided comments with respect to Item 5a). 5. Presentations: a) Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) Presentations: 1. Kris Puhvel, Executive Director, Ontario's Lake Country; 2. Greg Groen, President, Oro-Medonte Chamber of Commerce; 3. Kathleen Trainor, Executive Director, Tourism Barrie; 4. Louise Jackson, Executive Director, Tourism Oro-Medonte. Motion No. SC200224-2 Moved by Scott, Seconded by Keane Be it resolved that the Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) Presentations provided by: 1. Rob Furlonger, Kris Puhvel, Michael LaDouceur, Ontario's Lake Country; 2. Greg Groen, Oro-Medonte Chamber of Commerce; 3. Kathleen Trainor, Tourism Barrie; 4. Louise Jackson, Tourism Oro-Medonte be received and referred to staff for a report back to Council. Carried. Council consented to allow Kate Marrs and Chris Eaves to provide comments. 6. Confirmation By -Law: a) 2020-022: Being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Special Council meeting held on Monday, February 24, 2020. Motion No. SC200224-3 Moved by Hough, Seconded by Scott Be it resolved that By -Law No. 2020-022: Being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Special Council meeting held on Monday, February 24, 2020 be read a first, second and third time, passed, be engrossed by the Deputy Clerk, signed and sealed by the Mayor.
