1997-028 Designating Reduced Load periods t ,. THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE BY-LAW NO. 97- 28 Being a By-law Designating Reduced Load periods . WHEREAS the Highway TraffIc Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.H.8, as amended provides in subsection 7 of Section 122 that a municipal corporation having jurisdiction over a road may by by-law designate the dates on which reduced load periods shall start and end, and the roads under its jurisdiction to which the designation implies; AND WHEREAS a reduced period is deemed necessary for the protection of certain roads within the corporate limits of the Township of Oro-Medonte; NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Township ofOro-Medonte enacts as follows: 1. That in this by-law "road" includes a common and public road, highway, street, avenue, drive, driveway, parkway, square, place, bridge, viaduct or trestle, designed and intended for, or used by the general public for the passage of vehicles. 2. That all roads within the Township of Oro-Medpnte over which The Corporation of the Township has jurisdiction are hereby designated as being subject to the provisions of this by-law, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the provisions of this by-law apply to all roads within the Township ofOro- Medonte, save and except: i) King's Highway No. 400 ii) King's Highway No. 12 iii) King's Highway No. 93 iv) County Road No. 19 (Moonstone Road) v) County Road No. 22 (Horseshoe Valley Road) vi) County Road No. 23 (Vasey Road) vii) County Road No. 11 (Old Barrie Road) viii) County Road No. 27 (Line 7 ) ix) County Road No. 57 (Line 3) x) County Road No. 20 (Ridge Road) xi) 50/51 Sideroad 3. That the provisions of subsections 1,2, 3 and 4 of Section 122 of the Highway TraffIc Act apply to all roads within the Township ofOro-Medonte here named, during the period from the I't day of March to the thirtieth day of April, inclusive, in each and every year. 4. That subject to road conditions, the Road Superintendent is hereby authorized to extend the reduced load period on a temporary basis to a maximum of 31 days. 5. That the roads under the jurisdiction of the Township of Oro-Medonte specifIed on Schedule "A" attached hereto are hereby designated as haul routes. 6. That this by-law shall take effect and come into force on fmal passage thereof. By-law read a first and second time this 2 day of April, 1997. By-law read a third time and finally passed this 2 day of April ,1997.
