1. That Report No. OCS2018-18, Shawn Binns, Director, Operations and Community
Services; Andria Leigh, Director, Development Services re: Simcoe County District
School Board (SCDSB) School/Community Centre Partnership Update be received and
adopted.
2. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the Memorandum of Understanding
with the Simcoe County District School Board.
3. That staff be authorized to conduct the community consultation sessions and proceed as
outlined.

Coverage Recommendation [to be distributed].

Be it resolved
1. That Report No. F12018-12, Mark DesLauriers, Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer re:
Insurance Coverage Recommendation be received and adopted.
2. That the Township of Oro-Medonte awards its insurance coverage for the period of
July 1, 2018 to July 1, 2019 to Jardine Lloyd Thompson Canada Inc. (JLT Canada)
at the quoted premium of $491,642 + 8% tax on applicable policies, with a renewal
option of 2 additional years, at which time the CFO will report back to Council on the
renewal for the insurance period commencing July 1, 2021.
3. That the Township increase its coverage to $50,000,000 on the General Liability
policy at an additional annual premium of $6,312 + 8% tax.
4. That the Township complete the application for Cyber Insurance and enter into an
agreement with JLT Canada for coverage of at least $2,000,000 with a capped limit
of $20,000 + 8% tax of annual premiums.
5. That any savings from insurance premiums experienced versus the current year
budget, be moved to an Insurance Reserve to offset and smooth out insurance costs
in future years.

1. That Report No. DS2018-49, Curtis Shelswell, Chief Municipal Law Enforcement Officer
re: Draft Dumping By-law be received and adopted.
2. That draft By-law No. 2018-046 "A By-law to prohibit the throwing, placing or depositing
of refuse or debris on private property or on property of the municipality or any local
board thereof without authority from the owner or occupants of such property for
Council's Consideration and to repeal By-law No. 2014-031 (Clean and Clear By-law)" be
brought forward for Council's consideration.

Health & Safety Policy Statement.

1. That the correspondence presented by Tamara Obee, Manager, Human Resources,
Health & Safety re: 2018 Health and Safety Policy Statement be received and adopted.
2. That POL-HS-2-01-01 be adopted and enacted effective June 28, 2018.
3. That the Mayor, CAO and members of the Senior Management Team sign the 2018
Corporate Health and Safety Policy Statement which shall be posted in all work locations
in the Township.
4. That Council and all Staff continue to consider Health & Safety to be a key Corporate
priority.
