5. Public Meetings:
a) Notice of Receipt of a Complete Application, Notice of Particulars and Public
Access, Notice of Public Meeting for Proposed Amendment to the Zoning By -Law,
Part of the West Half of Lot 11, Concession 13 (Oro), Township of Oro-Medonte,
1211 Line 12 North, 2018-ZBA-09, William & Carol Robertson [Refer to Item 8a)].
Deputy Mayor Hough called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m. and explained the public
meeting is being held in accordance with Section 34 of the Planning Act, to obtain public
comment with respect to a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment Application. The
purpose of Application 2018-ZBA-09 is to fulfill a condition of approval for Consent
Applications 2015-B-36, 2015-B-37 & 2015-B-38, which were granted on May 2, 2018.
Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed to landowners within 120 metres of the
specified site, circulated to the appropriate Agencies and posted on the Township's
website on or before May 08, 2018.
The following correspondence was received: Township of Oro-Medonte, Building
Division dated May 7, 2018; Township of Oro-Medonte, Manager, Development
Engineering dated May 8, 2018; Simcoe County District School Board dated May 8,
2018; MHBC Planning, Urban Design & Landscape Architecture dated May 8, 2018;
Enbridge Gas Distribution dated May 14, 2018; Lake Simcoe Region Conservation
Authority dated June 1, 2018.
Andria Leigh, Director, Development Services, explained the purpose and effect of the
proposed amendment. A PowerPoint presentation was presented.
William Robertson, applicant, was present.
The following public persons offered verbal comments with respect to the proposed
amendment:
John Langman provided comments not in opposition to the application; however in
opposition to rezoning of lots; formalities, rules and regulations of municipal, provincial
and federal governments; price of properties; and future concerns of zoning.
There being no further comments or questions, the meeting adjourned at 5:51 p.m.
