04 04 2018 2018-ZBA-06 (Mary Elizabeth Veeitch & Georgina Vasey)Development Services Committee Minutes — Wednesday, April 4, 2018. b) Notice of Receipt of a Complete Application, Notice of Particulars and Public Access, Notice of Public Meeting for a Proposed Amendment to the Zoning By -Law of The Township of Oro-Medonte, North Part Lot 40, Concession 1, 2101 Horseshoe Valley Road West and North Part Lot 40, Concession 1, RP 51 R-13155, Parts 1 & 3, 3362 Penetanguishene Road, 2018-ZBA-06 and Consent Application 2018-B-05, (Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Veitch & Georgina Vasey). Deputy Mayor Hough called the meeting to order at 5:41 p.m. and explained the public meeting is being held in accordance with Sections 34, 53 and 54 of the Planning Act, to obtain public comment with respect to the proposed Development Applications. The purpose of Application 2018-ZBA-06 is to rezone the subject lands from "Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone" to "Local Commercial Exception (LC"##) Zone" to permit commercial, residential, or mixed uses in the existing building and to provide for an interior side yard setback of 1.2 metres (3.9 feet) for any future building expansion to the west. The purpose of Consent application 2018-B-06 proposes a boundary adjustment. Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed to landowners within 120 metres of the specified site, circulated to the appropriate Agencies and posted on the Township's website on or before March 14, 2018." The following correspondence was received: Township of Oro-Medonte, Building Division dated March 16, 2018; Township of Oro-Medonte, Manager, Development Engineering dated March 15, 2018; Township of Oro-Medonte, Operations and Community Services Department dated March 19, 2018; Enbridge Gas Distribution dated March 20, 2018; Bell Canada, Right of Way dated March 21, 2018. Derek Witlib, Manager, Planning Services, explained the purpose and effect of the proposed amendment. A PowerPoint presentation was presented. Peter Vasey, applicant, provided comments with respect to development and encroachment concerns. Betty Veitch, applicant, provided comments with respect to the amount of feet agreed upon. The following public persons offered verbal comments with respect to the proposed amendment: None.
