5. Public Meetings:
a) Notice of Receipt of a Complete Application, Notice of Particulars and Public Access,
Notice of Public Meeting for a Proposed Amendment to the Zoning By -Law of The
Township of Oro-Medonte, Concession 5, East Part Lot 19 (Medonte), Township of Oro-
Medonte, 5718 Line 5 North, 2018-ZBA-01 (Arlene and Timothy Russell).
Deputy Mayor Hough called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m. and explained the public
meeting is being held in accordance with Section 34 of the Planning Act, to obtain public
comment with respect to a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment Application. The
purpose of Application 2018-ZBA-01 is to rezone portions of the lands from
Environmental Protection (EP) Zone to Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone.
Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed to landowners within 120 metres of the
specified site, circulated to the appropriate Agencies and posted on the Township's
website on or before March 8, 2018.
The following correspondence was received: Township of Oro-Medonte, Manager,
Development Engineering dated March 8, 2018; Township of Oro-Medonte, Building
Division dated March 12, 2018; Township of Oro-Medonte, Operations and Community
Services Department dated March 12, 2018; Simcoe County District School Board
dated March 12, 2018; Enbridge Gas Distribution dated March 16, 2018; Willma Bureau
dated March 28, 2018; Larry and Karen Lynn dated April 2, 2018.
Derek Witlib, Manager, Planning Services, explained the purpose and effect of the
proposed amendment. A PowerPoint presentation was presented.
Timothy Russell, applicant, provided comments with resect to the fee.
The following public persons offered verbal comments with respect to the proposed
amendment: None.
There being no further comments or questions, the meeting adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
