Public Meetings: a) Notice of Receipt of a Complete Application, Notice of Particulars and Public Access, Notice of Public Meeting for a Proposed Amendment to the Zoning By -Law of the Township of Oro-Medonte, Part of Lots 1 and 2, Concession 3, 2017-ZBA-14 (Skyline Utility Services Inc.) and Consent Application 2017-B-25. Deputy Mayor Hough called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. and explained the public meeting is being is being held in accordance with Sections 34, 53 and 54 of the Planning Act, to obtain public comment with respect to the proposed Development Applications. The purpose of Application 2017-ZBA-14 is to rezone the subject lands from "Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone" to "Agricultural/Rural Exception (A/RU") Zone" to permit the development of an outdoor Nordic spa with associated uses (corporate meeting facilities/chalets, restaurants/bistros, administrative offices, retail uses and personal service uses). The purpose of Consent application 2017-B-25 proposes a severance for a lot creation. Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed to landowners within 120 metres of the specified site, circulated to the appropriate Agencies and posted on the Township's website on or before December 13, 2017. Stephen Morash, WMI & Associates Limited provided comments with respect to water capacity. The following public persons offered verbal comments with respect to the proposed amendment: Ian Veitch, on behalf of Horseshoe Valley Property Owners, Board of Directors, provided comments in support of the application. Comments included support in the development of this nature, benefits to the community including health/well-being, passive use application, blending with the rural lifestyle, no noise impacts, traffic questions have been addressed, water and sewage is being addressed privately and no outstanding concerns.
