of their decision dated July 14, 2017 to extend the timing for the extension of the

implemented upon adoption of the report.

Now therefore, Be it resolved that Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte request that
Mayor H.S. Hughes respectfully bring forward consideration to the Simcoe County
Governance Committee to reduce County Council Member Representation from two (2)
members to one (1) member from each Municipality for implementation in the 2018-2022
term of Council.

Association (OGRA) re: OGRA Reforms Request, Municipal Class Environmental
Assessment (MCEA) Process be received.
2. That the Council of The Township of Oro-Medonte supports the resolution from the
Ontario Good Roads Association (OGRA) in their correspondence dated January 17,
2018 that respectfully requests that the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change:
a) take immediate steps to expedite the response process for Part II Orders or Bump -Up
requests, as part of the s.61 review to improve MCEA process times and reduce study
costs.
b) support changes to better integrate and harmonize the MCEA process with processes
defined under the Planning Act;
c) amend the scope of MCEA reports and studies to reduce duplication with existing
public processes and decisions made under municipal Official Plans and provincial
legislation.
3. And That the Premier of Ontario; Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of
Ontario; Leader of the New Democratic Party of Ontario; Minister of the Environment and
Climate Change; MPP, Simcoe North; and OGRA be advised of Council's decision under
the Mayor's signature.
