Being a By -Law to Appoint a Drainage Superintendent
Pursuant to The Drainage Act, RSO 1990 c. D.17
And To Repeal By -Law No. 2017-038
Whereas Section 93(1) of the Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. D. 17 provides the
council of a local municipality may by by-law appoint a drainage superintendent.
And Whereas Section 227 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, C. 25, as
amended, provides that it is the role of the officers and employees of the
municipality to implement council's decisions and establish administrative practices
and procedures to carry out council's decisions; to undertake research and provide
advice to council on the policies and programs of the municipality; and to carry out
other duties required under this or any Act and other duties assigned by the
municipality.
Now Therefore the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte
hereby enacts as follows:
That Justin Metras is hereby appointed Drainage Superintendent.
2. That the Drainage Superintendent shall carry out the duties imposed upon
him/her pursuant to The Drainage Act, RSO 1990 c. D.17 and shall submit
such reports and carry out such other duties as may be required of him/her
from time to time.
3. That By -Law No. 2017-038 is hereby repealed.
4. And That this by-law shall come into force and take effect on March 12,
2018.
