Carried. 4. Deputations: None. 5. Communications: a) Correspondence from Simcoe County Historical Association (SCHA) re: Quarterly - Newsletter, Spring 2017. Ontario Heritage Trust Criteria correspondence was distributed to the Committee members and staff. Motion No. HC170410-8 Moved by O'Donnell, Seconded by Whiston It is recommended 1. That the correspondence dated March 30, 2017 from Peter Lohuaru and presented by Roz Llewellyn, Coordinator, Community Recreation re: Plaque for Horseshoe Valley Trailhead be received. 2. That it is recommended to Council that, in accordance with the Ontario Heritage Trust Provincial Plaque Program, - that staff provide assistance to the applicant on the development of the application and background paper on the proposed subject as outlined in the Provincial Plaque Program Criteria within the annual program deadline; - that the applicant(s) be responsible for the costs associated with acquiring the plaque; and - that the Township of Oro-Medonte provide in-kind support for the installation. 3. That staff explore alternatives for an interpretative plaque, if the Ontario Heritage Trust application is unsuccessful. 4. And That the applicant be advised of Council's decision under the Coordinator, Community Recreation's signature. Carried. Councillor Jermey assumed the Chair. 6. Reports of Members of Council/Municipal Officers: a) Councillor Jermey re: Municipal Heritage Register Policy, Potential Listings [deferred from January 16, 2017 meeting]. Motion No. HC170410-9 Moved by Thibeault, Seconded by Moore It is recommended that the correspondence presented by Councillor Jermey, re: Municipal Heritage Register Policy, Potential Listings be received and, upon further investigation, be brought back to a future Heritage Committee meeting. That the verbal information presented by Roz Llewellyn, Coordinator, Community Recreation re: Cairn Index be received. 2. And that it is recommended to Council that the Heritage Committee initiate the development of a Cairn Index of all properties in the Township of Oro-Medonte. Carried. 7.
