Motion No. SC170503-1 Moved by Crawford, Seconded by Macpherson Be it resolved that the agenda for the Special Council meeting of Wednesday, May 3, 2017 be received and adopted; and that the following correspondence be received with respect to Items 5a) and 6a): 1. Jorge Bartolo received April 28, 2017; 2. Elfriede Alexander received May 2, 2017. 3. Helen MacRae received May 2, 2017; 4. Motion No. SC170503-5 Moved by Crawford, Seconded by Macpherson Be it resolved that the memorandum correspondence dated May 1, 2017 and presented by Michelle Jakobi, Manager, Environmental Services Compliance & Capital Projects and Mark DesLauriers, Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer re: Municipal Drinking Water Service Rate 2017 — Additional Considerations from April 26th, 2017 Meeting be received and considered in conjunction with Item 5a) Report No. ES2017-06 and Item 6a) By -Law No. 2017-053. That Council adopt Option as outlined in Report No. ES2017-06. 3. And That the appropriate By -Law be brought forward for Council's consideration. Defeated. That Report No. ES2017-06, Michelle Jakobi, Manager, Environmental Services Compliance & Capital Projects re: Municipal Drinking Water Systems — 2017 Service Rate (Post Community Information Centres) be received. 2. That Council approves the Operating Charges — Municipal Water Systems as follows: Effective July 1, 2017, each unit shall be assessed a fixed operating charge and a per cubic meter consumption charge, as noted below: a) Fixed Operating Charge b) Consumption Rate 0-75 cubic meters per quarter Over 75 cubic meters per quarter $54.22 per quarter ($218.88 annually) $2.27 per cubic meter (m3) $2.27 per cubic meter (m3) Effective January 1, 2018, each unit shall be assessed a fixed operating charge and a per cubic meter consumption charge, as noted below: a) Fixed Operating Charge b) Consumption Rate 0-75 cubic meters per quarter Over 75 cubic meters per quarter $70.34 per quarter ($281.36 annually) $1.90 per cubic meter (m3) $2.20 per cubic meter (m3) Page 4 of 7 Special Council Minutes — Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Effective January 1, 2019, each unit shall be assessed a fixed operating charge and a per cubic meter consumption charge, as noted below: a) Fixed Operating Charge b) Consumption Rate 0-75 cubic meters per quarter Over 75 cubic meters per quarter $85.96 per quarter ($343.84 annually) $1.45 per cubic meter (m3) $2.20 per cubic meter (m3) 3. That Council approves the Infrastructure Charge — Municipal Water Systems as follows: Effective July 1, 2017, each unit and vacant lot shall be assessed a fixed infrastructure charge as outlined below: a)Fixed Infrastructure Charge $ 66.00 per quarter ($264.00 annually) The Fixed Infrastructure Charge shall increase by $28.00 annually in each year, commencing January 1, 2018. 4. And That the appropriate By -Law be brought forward for Council's consideration. Motion No. SC170503-8 Moved by Macpherson, Seconded by Crawford Be it resolved that a) By -Law No. 2017-053: A By -Law to Amend By -Law, 2016-110, "A By-law of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte to Provide for the Imposition of Fees or Charges" (Fees and Charges By-law) as outlined in Motion No. SC170503-7 be read a first, second and third time, passed, be engrossed by the Deputy Clerk, signed and sealed by the Mayor.
