1. Call to Order- Moment of Reflection:
Mayor H.S. Hughes assumed the Chair and called the meeting to order followed by a
moment of reflection.
2. Adoption of Agenda:
a) Motion to Adopt the Agenda.

a) Motion to go In Closed Session.

Be it resolved that we do now go in Closed Session at 9:12 a.m. to discuss
• solicitor -client privilege (Water, Urban Stormwater & Wastewater Servicing);
• labour relations/employee negotiations (Staffing).

b) Motion to Rise and Report.

Be it resolved
1. That the confidential PowerPoint presentation dated March 16, 2017 and presented by
Robin Dunn, CAO and Graham Topa, Aird & Berlis LLP re: Solicitor -client privilege
(Water, Urban Stormwater & Wastewater Servicing) be received and adopted.
2. That Council re -affirms the direction from the May 18, 2016 Council meeting on this
matter.
3. And That the CAO proceed as outlined in the confidential PowerPoint presentation and
report back to Council in September, 2017.

Be it resolved that By -Law No. 2017-035: Being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the
Special Council meeting held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 be read a first, second and third
time, passed, be engrossed by the Deputy Clerk, signed and sealed by the Mayor.
