By-law to amend Zoning By-law No. 97-95, as amended,
which apply to lands at
East Part of Lot 18, Concession 5 (Oro)

Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte is
empowered to pass By-laws to regulate the use of land pursuant to Section 34 of the
Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13;
And Whereas Council deems it appropriate to rezone the subject lands to prohibit
the development of residential uses, in accordance with Section C1.3.1 of the Official
Plan.
Now Therefore the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte hereby enacts as
follows:
Schedule `A9' to Zoning By-law 97-95, as amended, is hereby further
amended by changing the zone symbol applying to the lands located in
East Part of Lot 18, Concession 5, Township of Oro-Medonte, from
Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone to Agricultural/Rural Exception 275
(A/RU*275) Zone to prohibit residential uses, and to Agricultural/Rural
Exception 276 (A/RU *276) Zone to recognize the existing oversized
detached accessory buildings located on the severed lot, as shown on
Schedule `A' attached and forming part of this By-law.
2. Section 7 — Exceptions of Zoning By-law No. 97-95, as amended, is hereby
further amended by adding the following subsection:
"7.275* *275 —East Part of Lot 18, Concession 5
"Notwithstanding Table A4 — Permitted Uses, a single detached dwelling is
not permitted on the lands denoted by the symbol *275 on the schedule to
this By-law."
"7.276* *276 —East Part of Lot 18, Concession 5
"Notwithstanding Section 5.1.4 (Maximum Height), Section 5.1.6
(Maximum Floor Area) and Section 5.16 (Non -Complying Buildings and
Structures), a barn and silos existing on the lands on the date of the
passing of this By-law shall only be used for the purposes of residential
accessory buildings, and any new or replacement accessory buildings
and structures shall comply with Section 5.1 of the Zoning By-law."
3. This By-law shall take effect on the final passing thereof, subject to the
provisions of the Planning Act, as amended.
By -Law read a First, Second and Third Time, and Passed this 5th Day of April,
2017.
