1. Opening of the Meeting by the Deputy Clerk:
The Deputy Clerk called the meeting to order.
2. Selection of Chairperson:
a) Motion for Selection of a Chairperson.

It is recommended that the Chairperson for the 2016 Citizen/Senior of the Year Advisory
Group meeting be Joanna McEwen as voted by the Advisory Group.

3. Adoption of Agenda:
a) Motion for Adoption of Agenda.

It is recommended that the agenda for the 2016 Citizen/Senior of the Year Advisory
Group meeting of Tuesday, March 29, 2016 be received and adopted.

4. Adoption of Minutes of Previous Meeting:
a) Minutes of meeting held on Monday, March 30, 2015.

It is recommended that the draft minutes of the 2015 Citizen/Senior of the Year Advisory
Group meeting held on Monday, March 30, 2015 be received and adopted as printed
and circulated.

5. Voting Procedure:
a) General Voting Procedure.

It is recommended that the draft General Voting Procedure dated March 29, 2016 be
received and adopted.

6. Presentation and Discussion of Nominations re: Oro-Medonte Citizen of the
Year Nominees:
a) Motion to open discussion of nominations.

It is recommended that the Advisory Group have an open discussion with respect to the
2016 Oro-Medonte Citizen of the Year nominations.
Carried.
b) Motion to close discussion and commence vote of nominations.

Moved by Joyce Sinton, Seconded by Lynda Crawford
It is recommended that the discussion with respect to the nominations for the 2016 Oro-
Medonte Citizen of the Year be closed and further that the vote take place.

7. Voting:
Four rounds of voting were completed to declare a winner by majority.
a) Motion to Council to recommend 2016 Oro-Medonte Citizen of the Year.

It is recommended to Council that Joan Banbury be nominated as the 2016 Oro-
Medonte Citizen of the Year as voted by the Advisory Group.

b) Motion to destroy ballots.

It is recommended that the 2016 Oro-Medonte Citizen of the Year ballots be destroyed.

Nominees:
a) Motion to open discussion of nominations.

It is recommended that the Advisory Group have an open discussion with respect to the
2016 Ontario Senior of the Year nominations.

b) Motion to close discussion and commence vote of nominations.

It is recommended that the discussion with respect to the nominations for the 2016
Ontario Senior of the Year be closed and further that the vote take place.

a) Motion to Council to recommend 2016 Ontario Senior of the Year.

It is recommended to Council that Walter Iles be nominated as the 2016 Ontario Senior
of the Year as voted by the Advisory Group.

It is recommended that the 2016 Ontario Senior of the Year ballots be destroyed.
